Tuesday thoroughbred action sees us doing to the form for an eight-race card at Hamilton on a clear day with the track expected to be on the ‘good’ range.
The best bets from the BetDeluxe expert team have found great each-way value in the first race on the program.
Hamilton Race 1
#2 Brat
Have the inkling this three-year-old gelding might just possess a little bit more talent than what his form guide suggests.
He has been involved in some very fast-run races since resuming from a spell and has been left fairly flat footed at both starts against better opposition.
This small field will likely see him find the front on the track that will likely favour leaders.
The all important blinkers are applied for the first and happy to take the punt at a nice price to see if they can sharpen him up and get him to victory.
Suggested Bet: Brat each-way at $14 the win and $4.6 the place
Suggested Exotic: Quinella 2 & 8
Hamilton race 3
#12 Swift Sparkle
It was a complete forgive run on debut for Swift Sparkle after she missed the start and was given no real chance settling last on the inside of runners.
She ran all over the shop in the home straight at the end of her 1243-metre maiden race and did a lot wrong to be beaten by over eight lengths.
This race looks a much more appropriate level for her with a rise to 1400 metres hopefully allowing her to find a spot closer to the speed against slower horses.
Much like race one, taking the punt that blinkers going on will be the trick this horse needs to find the extra few lengths she needs to be a winning chance in this race.
Suggested Bet: Swift Sparkle each-way at $17 the win and $3.7 the place.
Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 5, 12/ 4, 5, 7, 12/ 4, 5, 7, 11, 12
Hamilton race 4
#11 Bring The stars
Looked ready to run a big race when stepping up the mile last start, but copped a heavy track and was pulled up in the last 50 or so metres to idle himself to the line.
Back to a good track, staying at the mile and drawing a soft barrier should see him finish much close than he did just over a fortnight ago.
Dean Yendall has taken the ride here and his strong, positive style should ensure we get a run for our money.
We should be camped in behind the favourite who will take us into the race and allow Yendall the perfect cart into the home straight where this horse can let down his sprint.
Suggested Bet: Bring The Stars win at $5.5
Hamilton Race 5
#1 A Fighting Fury
Andrew Bobbin has got A Fighting Fury flying at the moment.
He won with authority at Coleraine over 1600 metres last start in BM-58 grade and now only has to contend with a 2.5-kilo weight for having crushed her opposition by over four lengths.
The horse showed great sustained speed to win that race and now gets a perfect opportunity against average opposition to win again.
Young apprentice jockey Kiran Quilty is riding well in the country and gets her chance aboard this gelding.
Suggested Bet: A Fighting Fury win at $2.45
