English Premier League Match Week 8 Tips & Previews, Saturday 16th October

The best bets as we head into Match Week 8 of the Premier League.

With the international break all over, it’s time to get stuck back into Premier League action this weekend.

The BetDeluxe team goes through the best bets and best same-game multis across each fixture.

Watford vs. Liverpool

October 16th 10:30pm

Liverpool takes its talents to Vicarage Road for a clash against Watford with a host of players returning from international duty.

The Reds were part of a crazy 2-2 against Manchester City in their latest league outing, while Watford continues its relegation fight after going down 1-0 to Leeds.

The only chance Watford has is in this contest is if the returning Liverpool players are jaded from their international fixtures.

Cannot see the Reds coughing this one up.

Prediction: Watford 0 Liverpool 2

Suggested Bet: Total goals scored under 2.5 at $

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Liverpool head to head
Leg 2: D. Jota anytime goal
Leg 3: Total goals scored under 2.5
Combined odds = $8

Leicester vs. Man United

October 17th 1:00am

Leicester welcomes Manchester United to King Power Stadium in a bid to get some winning form strung together.

The Foxes have hit many a road bump this season  and will need to find a way to reverse their winless run of late.

Untied, too, despite signing Cristiano Ronaldo have looked vulnerable in midfield and at the back.

Almost impossible to split the teams.

Prediction: Leicester 1 Manchested United 1

Suggested Bet: Draw at $3.5

aston villa vs. wolverhampton

october 17th 1:00am

Aston Villa will play host to Wolverhampton in match-week eight of the Premier League at Villa Park.

The visitors are riding the high of a two-game winning streak after despatching Newcastle 2-1, while Villa will attempt get its act together after a 2-1 loss to Tottenham.

A home game for Villa should spark a turn in form and it has dealt well without former star midfielder Jack Grealish.

Good value for the home team here.

Prediction: Aston Villa 1 Wolverhampton 0

Suggested Bet: Aston Villa head to head at $2.2

SOUTHAMPTON vs. leeds

october 17th 1:00am

A return to St Mary’s Park might just be the tonic relegation embattled Southampton needs when it faces a similarly struggling Leeds United in match-week eight.

The Saints were left to lick their wounds after a 3-1 loss to Chelsea, while Leeds finally got its first win on the board thanks to a 1-0 win over Watford.

Both teams have showed fairly similar form this season and it is another game which looks hard to find a winner in.

The overs looks the way to go here rather than a head to head play.

Prediction: Southampton 2 Leeds 2
Suggested Bet: Total goals scored over 2.5 at $1.58

man city vs. burnley

october 17th 1:00am

Premier League champion Manchester City returns to the Etihad for a clash against Burnley with a host of players returning from international fixtures.

It is a case of looking at the opposite ends of the spectrum with the Citizens in a title bet yet again, while Burnley struggles to stay off the bottom of the league.

City will dominate this game and use this as a chance to really boost its goal differential.

Prediction: Manchester City 4 Burnley 0

Suggested Bet: Phil Foden anytime goalscorer at $1.90

norwich vs. brighton & hove albion

october 17th 1:00am

Brighton & Hove Albion travels over to Carrow Road for an important clash against Norwich City.

Garry Potter’s men continued their surprising start to the season when pinching a point off Arsenal prior the international break and arguably should have won had it taken its chances.

Norwich, meanwhile, sits last on the league table and is yet to win a Premier League game.

Tough to see anything changing from the Canaries perspective.

Prediction: Norwich 1 Brighton & Hove Albion 2

Suggested Bet: Brighton & Hove Albion head to head at $2.10

Brentford vs. Chelsea

october 17th 3:30am

Brentford at home has proven a tricky assignment for most teams this season and now it is Chelsea’s turn to make the trip down to Brentford Community Stadium.

Under Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea has looked a Premier League winning outfit this season as it holds sway at the top of the league.

The Bees, however, will provide a challenge, but it will be the ability of their defence to handle the likes of Romelu Lukaku that will be key in this game.

Chelsea wins this by a goal.

Suggested Bet: Half time both teams to score – Yes at $5.19

Everton vs. West Ham

october 18th 12:00am

Everton opens the doors to Goodison Park when it welcomes West Ham to Merseyside at 12:00am (AEDT) on Monday morning.

A spot in the top four is on offer for the Toffees should they overcome a West Ham team keen to bounce back from a shock 2-1 loss to Brentford.

Everton is going to prove a tough nut to crack at home all season and it took another step towards playing European football next season with a hard fought 1-1 drawn against Manchester United thanks to an Andros Townsend equalizer.

That form looks the way to go here.

Prediction: Everton 2 West Ham 1
Suggested Bet: Everton head to head at $2.45

newcastle vs. tottenham

october 18th 2:30am

Tottenham looks to steady the ship when it heads to St James park for a clash with Newcastle.

Spurs found winning form by defeating Aston Villa after a horrendous month of poor form saw it plummet out of the title race.

Newcastle, meanwhile, has struggled all season and currently sits 19th on the table and is yet to record a win in the league.

Shocked to see the even money quote about Spurs here who, on paper, are a clear class above their rivals in this fixture.

Suggested Bet: Tottenham head to head at $2.05

arsenal vs. crystal palace

october 19th 6:00am

Patrick Viera versus Arsenal.

It is a headline we never thought we would see, but it comes to fruition when Crystal Palace makes the trip to the Emirates.

The Eagles, under Viera, sit 14th with only a game separating them and 11th placed Arsenal.

But the Gunners have showed a great turn of form in the last month to go undefeated through their last four fixtures.

Expect this to be an Arsenal win.

Suggested Bet: Arsenal head to head at $1.62
