Week six of the NFL 2021/22 season arrives.
Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers clash with the Philadelphia 76ers ahead of a Thursday night prime time clash.
The BetDeluxe team goes through the game-by-game preview and the best bets for another weekend of NFL action.
Philadelphia vs. Tampa Bay
15th October 11:20am
Tom Brady has showed no signs of slowing down and will look to continue his brilliant week five showing when Tampa Bay faces Philadelphia.
The Buccaneers walloped a hapless Miami to the tune of 28 points with an offensive masterclass led by Brady, while Philadelphia stormed home for a come-from-behind win over Carolina.
Doubt the Eagles can really mount a challenge to a Tampa Bay team who is beginning to show some of its Super Bowl winning form of 2020/21.
Suggested Bet: Buccaneers -6.5 at $1.86
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Bucs -6.5
Leg 2: Total points under 52.5
Leg 3: T. Brady over 299.5 passing yards
Combined odds = $4.33
Jacksonville vs. Miami
18th October 12:30am
Take a painkiller and attempt to find a winner of this game between Jacksonville and Miami.
The Dolphins have been so underwhelming this season in all aspects, while the Jaguars have lost every game and have drawn the curtains on the season already.
Miami has probably shown a tad more and did look somewhat potent on offence in its harrowing loss to Tampa Bay last week.
Suggested Bet: Miami -2.5 at $1.90
Indianapolis vs. Houston
18th October 4:00am
The Colts will look to continue their improved output of the last three weeks when they face the battling Houston Texans this weekend.
Indianapolis, after a slow start to the year, pressed the high-flying Baltimore Ravens to overtime last week but would ultimately be beaten despite the best effort of quarterback Carson Wentz.
The Texans also suffered a narrow loss but it was against a lesser opponent in the form of New England.
Wentz and his mob should have enough in the locker to get the job done on home soil.
Suggested Bet: Indianapolis -7.5 at $1.81
Detroit vs. Cincinatti
11th October 4:00am
The winless Detroit Lions look to find that elusive victory against Cincinnati at the Ford Field come Monday morning (AEDT).
The Bengals enter this match as the overwhelming favourites with a 3-2 record that could easily be 4-1 had they had taken their chances in overtime against Green Bay.
But alas, even with the winning form and looking better than the Lions, this is a danger game.
Jared Goff was left a dead-man walking by his offensive line at times against Minnesota and was was sacked three times in the loss against the Vikings.
Hoping a focus on protecting their quarterback in front of the home fans is enough to cover the point spread.
Suggested Bet: Lions +3.5 at $1.87
Chicago vs. Green Bay
18th October 4:00am
Division rival Green Bay and Chicago resume hostilities in what could be a season-defining game for both teams.
The Packers have found their groove after a horrific start to the year to sit 4-1, while the Bears sit 3-2 and are the outsiders here.
Aaron Rodgers has shown glimpses of his brilliant 2020/21 season and his laser arm can prove the difference here.
Suggested Bet: Packers -2.5 at $1.90
New York giants vs. Los angeles rams
18th October 4:00am
We look at opposite ends of the spectrum when Los Angeles Rams take on the New York Giants.
The Rams have looked a genuine Super Bowl threat this season and sit 4-1 after a 26-17 win over an injury-plagued Seattle.
The Giants, however, fell to 0-5 after its defence failed to handle the brute force of Dallas last week.
If the Rams are to be taken seriously, this must be a convincing win by a double-digit margin.
Matt Stafford has been the leading hand for the Rams this year and this game looks a big chance to solidify his MVP credentials.
Suggested Bet: Los Angeles Rams -9.5 at $1.90
Washington vs. Kansas city
18th October 4:00am
It is simply a must win clash for Kansas City when it faces Washington on the road in week six.
The Chiefs have battled to find winning consistency this year, but do have the class over Washington.
At home this season, Washington is winless against the spread, and 1-2 overall.
Expecting the Chiefs to get the job done here.
Suggested Bet: Kansas -6.5 at $1.89
baltimore vs. los angles chargers
18th October 4:00am
Lamar Jackson and his Baltimore Ravens take on Justin Herbert and his Los Angeles Chargers in a cracking AFC contest.
The Ravens needed to pull out all stocks to defeat a plucky Colts team in overtime last week, while the Chargers were victorious in a near 100-point score-fest against Cleveland.
There are cause for concerns about the Chargers’ defence after that display and Jackson might exploit the holes with his unique running and passing game.
Suggested Bet: Ravens -2.5 at $1.96
Carolina vs. Minnesota
18th October 4:00am
Carolina will be looking to arrest a two-game slide against Minnesota this weekend.
The Panthers have seen improvement in all areas of their team this season and this game against the Vikings is the exact litmus test it needs to show its worth.
Interesting to see the Vikings favourites in this one after struggling to get over the line against a struggling Detroit.
The value here lies with Panthers at the head to head.
Suggested Bet: Carolina Panthers head to head at $1.98
Cleveland vs. Arizona
11th October 7:05am
The Cleveland Browns must regather themselves against the undefeated Arizona Cardinals after dropping a heartbreaker against the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Cleveland offence managed to score 42 points, but it was to little avail as the Chargers took control of the Browns defence to launch home 47 points.
The Cardinals, meanwhile, are playing fantastic football and come off the high of having just knocked off the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers.
However, the Browns are going to be more motivated than ever and we have seen this team respond when their backs are to the wall.
Suggested Bet: Cleveland -2.5 at $1.87
Broncos vs. Raiders
18th october 7:25am
For two weeks running, the Broncos have been outplayed and outmatched by teams that looked better prepared than they are.
But it might just get the team it needs to find form against with a tumultuous week for the Raiders resulting in coach Jon Gruden stepping down from his role.
The attention away from football for the Raiders might just work in favour for the Broncos.
Suggested Bet: Denver head to head at $1.51
New England vs. Dallas
18th october 7:25am
The white-hot Dallas Cowboys travel to Boston for a crucial clash against New England.
The Cowboys offence has looked insanely efficient this season with Dak Prescott in the best form of his career.
Prescott’s season might just very well be outshined by freak cornerback Trevon Diggs who is arguably the best defender in the league at the moment.
The Patriots are going to have their work cut out for them when defending.
Suggested Bet: Dallas Cowboys head to head at $1.53
Pittsburgh vs. Seattle
18th october 11:20am
Seattle will have to deal with the absence of quarterback Russell Wilson against Pittsburgh after he broke his finger in the loss against Los Angeles Rams last week.
Wilson was trending to a career-best season as his form led the Seahawks to a 2-2 prior to the loss to the Rams, while Pittsburgh bounced back with a win against Denver.
The loss of Wilson is going to gravely hurt the Seahawks, not only in this game, but for the rest of the season.
Suggested Bet: Pittsburgh Steeelers -8.5 at $2.50
tennessee vs. buffalo
19th october 11:15am
The brutal Buffalo Bills headline Monday night football in America with a clash against Tennessee in a bid to leapfrog into Super Bowl favouritism with the punters.
Tennessee is riding Derrick Henry but he could encounter a brick wall in Buffalo’s very deep, very aggressive line.
With injury clouds hanging over AJ Brown and Julio Jones, it puts even more pressure on Ryan Tannehill if the running game cannot get going.
To make things worse, they will have to execute almost flawlessly to keep pace with a Buffalo team that has been ruthless on their four game winning streak.
Suggested Bet: Buffalo Bills -5.5 at $1.90
