Week five of the NFL 2021/22 season arrives.
We begin with a big clash between the Rams and Seahawks.
The best bets and same game multis for each game have assessed and selected.
Seahawks vs. Rams
8th October 11:20am
Week 5 of the NFL schedule kicks off with a primetime contest between a pair of NFC West rivals on the gridiron up in the Emerald City.
The Los Angeles Rams are on the road as they travel up the west coast to face the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football.
Expecting the Rams to bounce into form after a lacklustre effort last week.
Suggested Bet: Rams -2.5 at $1.87
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Rams -2.5
Leg 2: Total points under 2.5
Leg 3: M. Stafford 2+ passing TDs
Combined odds = $4.75
Falcons vs. Jets
11th October 12:30am
It’s a case of the Falcons fortified defence coming up against the dangerous offence of the New York Jets in week five.
It is about the only facet of the Falcons game that is half reliable at the moment even though it let slip against Washington.
Both these teams are unlikely to damage come the pointy of the year, but the Jets at the line look the value.
Suggested Bet: Jets +2.5 at $2
Washington vs. Saints
11th October 4:00am
Washington Football Team was the latest team to enjoy a Falcons collapse, while the Saints suffered a collapse of their own in Week 4 and the pair come face to face in week five.
In the era without Drew Brees, the Saints have fluctuated with their form this year, while Washington has been very competitive against some serious opposition.
The Football Team can definitely pinch this on the back some really solid form quarterback Taylor Heinicke.
Suggested Bet: Washington head to head at $2.10
Vikings .vs Lions
11th October 4:00am
Minnesota will look to make light work of a struggling Detroit Lions squad which comes into week five yet to win a game.
Unfortunately, for the Lions, it does not get any easier against a Vikings team that is laden full of a offensive weapons who can cause some serious damage when it all clicks into gear.
If the Vikings toss this game away it is almost curtains on the season.
Highly doubt that happens and the home team should charge away with a big win against a rebuilding Detroit.
Suggested Bet: Vikings -8.5 at $1.77
Bengals vs. Packers
11th October 4:00am
Aaron Rodgers takes his talents to Paul Brown Stadium when his Green Bay Packers clash with the in-form Cincinnati Bengals
The Packers held ground atop of NFC North with their third consecutive win last week, while the Browns made it 3-1 for the season.
This shapes as one of, if not, the game of the week.
Rodgers and his mob will be hard to hold out, but have shown a weak underbelly this season despite the winning form.
Suggested Bet: Bengals +2.5 at $1.89
Steelers vs. Broncos
11th October 4:00am
If there is such a thing as a must-win game in the fifth week of the season, this one is it.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are sitting at 1-3 and dead last in the AFC North.
Staring up at three teams with no let-up in the schedule really adds to the importance of this home showdown with the 3-1 Denver Broncos.
Siding with the Steelers in what will be a titanic struggle for ascendancy.
Suggested Bet: Steelers head to head at $1.87
Buccaneers vs. Dolphins
11th October 4:00am
After survivng the step-back to his old hunting ground, Tom Brady welcomes Miami to Tampa Bay when the Buccaneers take on the Dolphins.
Brady went head to head against the Patriots and came out victorious, but only just!
A return home to familiar surroundings against a Dolphins who were horrendous against the struggling Indianapolis Colts should spell a big victory.
Suggested Bet: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -9.5 at $1.91
Panthers vs. Eagles
11th October 4:00am
Carolina copped the brunt of a vicious Dallas offence last week and will now be tasked with changing their fortunes against the rebuilding Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles did take it up to Kansas last week, but would ultimately fall short to sit 1-3 through four weeks.
The Panthers have shown enough this season to be a reliable betting proposition at home and this game is no exception.
Suggested Bet: Panthers -2.5 at $1.86
Texans vs. Patriots
11th October 4:00am
New England Patriots will be seeking to make light work of a struggling Houston Texans outfit.
The Texans were taught a footballing lesson when being put to the sword 40-0 by Buffalo last week.
Mac Jones and his Patriots were also defeated, but showed much more promise in their 19-17 loss against reigning super bowl champion Tampa Bay.
Jones threw for 275 yard and two touchdowns and that form is going to have an out-of-form Texans defence in a spin.
Suggested Bet: Patriots -8.5 at $1.89
Jaguars vs. Titans
11th October 4:00am
Jacksonville Jaguars welcomes the Titans to Everbank Field in a bid to somehow find that so far elusive win this season.
The Jags are trending up, and looked way better than they did in the season opener, while the Titans had a shock defeat against the Jets.
Titans quarerback Ryan Tannehill was sacked a staggering seven times in the loss to the Jets, and their defence had no answers in the 27-24 overtime loss.
Jaguars can cover the line here.
Suggested Bet: Jaguars +4.5 at $1.89
Raiders vs. Bears
11th october 7:05am
The Raiders tasted defeat for the first time season when going down the Chargers last week and now must quickly back-up to with the short break heading into this clash against the Bears.
Khalil Mack is back to play against his former team in the Las Vegas Raiders, which only adds to the intrigue around this contest.
The Raiders, for all their winning this season, have looked a touch hollow and were given a reality check in week four.
The Bears can take it up to them here as they look to over the 0.500 mark for this first time this year.
Suggested Bet: Bears +5.5 at $1.89
chargers vs. browns
11th october 7:05am
A four-game winning streak is on offer for Cleveland when it goes head to head with the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Browns come into this clash as the 2.5-point underdogs against a Chargers team who were brilliant in their 28-14 dissection of the Raiders last week.
A 222-yard and two-touchdown game from Justin Herbert ensured victory as the Chargers locked away top sot in the AFC West for another week.
Chargers will win this contest as they bound towards the playoffs.
Suggested Bet: Chargers -1.5 at $1.87
cardinals vs. 49ers
11th october 7:05am
One of two things will occur when the San Francisco 49ers meets Arizona in week five.
The 49ers can either use the adversity they’ve faced over the last two weeks, back-to-back losses at home against the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks, as motivation or pack-u shop and simply let this undefeated Cardinals team do as they please.
If the form of the last month is anything to by, the Cardinals should shoot away to an easy win.
Suggested Bet: Cardinals -4.5 at $1.89
cowboys vs. giants
11th october 7:05am
Dallas Cowboys welcome New York Giants to Arlington in a bid to go 4-1 for the first in what feels an eternity.
The Cowboys properly unveiled its running game for the first time this season and it worked to brilliant effect in the high-scoring 36-28 win over Carolina, while the Giants scored a surprise win over New Orleans in what was their best performance of the year.
Not sure the Giants can deal with the form of Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot in this contest.
The Cowboys look an irresistible force on offence right now.
Suggested Bet: Dallas Cowboys -3.5 at $1.56
chiefs vs. bills
11th october 11:20am
Two star quarterbacks look to gain ascendancy when Kansas City and the undefeated Buffalo trade blows.
Josh Allen and his Bills have crushed everyone an everything before them this year and produced a footballing masterclass in a 40-0 thumping of Houston last week, while Patrick Mahomes and his Chiefs took their time before finally putting away a plucky Philadelphia.
The Bills have been in stunning form this year, but this game against the Chiefs in Kansas is a different beast to anything they have faced so far.
Suggested Bet: Kansas City -2.5 at $1.82
ravens vs. colts
12th October 11:15am
With the Baltimore Ravens coming off their third-straight win, a match against the Indianapolis Colts sees them installed as the clear betting favourite.
The Colts did find a way to win their first game of the season after looking horrendous in their first three games.
Carson Wentz and his offensive line finally found their mojo to defeat an underwhelming Miami 27-17, but the Ravens at home looks a much scarier proposition for a team who will make no impact from a playoffs perspective.
The Ravens are 4-0 against the spread in their last four home games and that trends should continue here.
Suggested Bet: Ravens- 8.5 at $1.90
