While many teams might not take the NBA Pre Season seriously, the team at Bet Deluxe has gone into overdrive to find the best bets ahead of this weekend’s pre season fixtures.
There is always value to be made in these games with teams leaving out star players and using the games as building blocks and pipe-openers rather than the intent to win.
Indiana @ Cleveland
October 9th 10:10am
Indiana heads to Cleveland for a 2021 pre-season affair against Cleveland.
The Pacers kicked off their pre-season by moseying about in a 125-104 defeat against New York Knicks as they unveiled Chris Duarte who was their pick number 13 from the 2021 draft.
Duarte looked right home with the shooting guard landing 15 points and five assists as he builds towards his rookie NBA season.
The Cavaliers, in the meantime, have mixed their form through their first two pre-season games with a heavy loss against Chicago being followed up by a gritty 99-96 win against Atlanta.
The Pacers will have a little bit more scope for improvement given they have only played one game.
Duarte looks a talent sort and it will pay to keep a keen eye on him in this contest.
Suggested Bet: Indiana Pacers -3.5 at $1.90
Milwaukee @ Brooklyn
October 9th 10:30am
We will not be seeing the full-strength line-up of both the NBA champion Milwaukee and highly-talented Brooklyn, but it will be interesting to see who can push their case come the season opener.
The Bucks started their pre-season off with a very measly 10-point loss against Memphis earlier this week, while the Nets kept up their offensive throat-hold on the league with a 123-97 win over the Lakers.
This might be a case of both teams wanting to gain some oneupmanship on each other even though it just a pre-season game.
Do not think for one second these teams do not want to go out there not win.
The Nets might want to gain an early edge over the Bucks as they challenge for the championship again.
Kyrie Irving will miss this game as will Patty Mills, but do not surprised if this is a fiery contest.
Suggested Bet: Brooklyn Nets -4.5 at $.190
New Orleans @ Chicago
October 9th 11:00am
Probably not the most endearing pre-season contest we will bare witness to with Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram set to sit out for New Orleans when it plays Chicago.
We will, however, likely lay our sights on talented Pelicans duo Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Trey Murph who were on song in the 104-86 win over Orlando.
Alexander-Walker managed 19 points, while Murph dropped 20 points in what will be an exciting year ahead for the Pelicans.
Suggested Bet: New Orleans Pelicans +5.5 at $1.90
Los Angeles Clippers @ Dallas
October 9th 11:30am
Brandying a new head coach, Dallas Mavericks welcome Los Angeles Clippers to American Airlines Arena.
The Mavericks defeated the Utah Jazz 111-101 in Dallas earlier this week in what was a great opening to Jason Kidd’s first match in charge.
The Clippers, still sore from another disappointing end to playoffs, will chug along in preparation for the regular with Kawhi Leonard likely to feature on very limited minutes.
The Mavericks will have more to play for given their squad will likely want to impress a new head coach.
Suggested Bet: Dallas Mavericks -3.5 at $1.91
Miami @ San Antonio
October 9th 11:30am
The old sparring partners in Miami and San Antonio go head to head at the AT&T Centre for what is both their third game of the pre-season to date.
San Antonio Spurs has so far grabbed one win and one loss in two pre-season games having managed to defeat Utah Jazz but fall short against Detroit Pistons.
On the other side, in the two games Miami has played it has managed to win one and lose one with victory over Atlanta Hawks and a loss to Dallas Mavericks.
Possibly the toughest game to to tip on the day.
Looksa real 50/50 contest, so the value lies with Miami.
Suggested Bet: Miami Heat head to head at $2.08
