Euro 2020 might have been played and won by the Italians, but we return to European action with the UEFA Nations League semi-finals.
Spain will look for revenge, while Belgium and France battle it out to reach the final.
The BetDeluxe team has previewed the best bets and same game multi for each match.
Italy vs. Spain
October 7th 5:45am
Seeking revenge for their Euro 2020 semi-final defeat, Spain prepare to meet Italy in the semi-finals of the 2020-21 UEFA Nations League.
Spain will be dealing with the heartbreak of a penalty shootout loss earlier this year in Euros after outdoing the Azzurri for the majority of the 120 minutes, but failing to make it count on penalties with Gigi Donnarumma and Jorginho proving the heroes.
Luis Enrique’s side took top spot in League A Group 4 to advance to the final four, while the reigning European champions went six games unbeaten in League A Group 1.
The Italians enter this game sporting the longest ever unbeaten streak in international football having not lost in 37 outings since Roberto Mancini took over the helm.
Italy will be forced to cope without star striker Ciro Immobile after the Lazio man withdrew from the squad through injury, while Rafael Toloi and Matteo Pessina will not be involved either.
Immobile’s absence could see Kean given the opportunity to lead the line alongside Federico Chiesa and Lorenzo Insigne, with the rest of the team having a very familiar feel to it from Euro 2020.
On home soil, the European champion should have enough in the tank to qualify for another major tournament final.
Prediction: Italy 2 Spain 1
Suggested Bets:
Italy head to head at $2.30
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Italy head to head
Leg 2: M. Kean anytime goal scorer
Leg 3: Total goals scored over 2.5
Combined odds = $6.5
France vs. Belgium
October 8th 5:45am
Two European powerhouses seeking continental glory after disappointing Euro 2020 campaigns meet in Thursday’s UEFA Nations League semi-final, as Belgium do battle with France at the Juventus Stadium.
Roberto Martinez’s side eased to top spot in League A Group 2 to advance to the final four, while Les Bleus pipped reigning champions Portugal to top spot in Group 3.
The Belgians do hold strong form with only two defeats in their last 31 games across all tournaments.
One of those defeats came in the Nations League group almost a year ago, as England saw off Martinez’s side 2-1 at Wembley, but Belgium has otherwise sealed five wins, 15 points and 16 goals scored to finish atop of its group.
It is not known how well the French coped after being bundled out by Swizterland in Euro 2020 despite having one of, if not, the most talented squad on paper during that tournament.
The cracks have certainly started to appear in Didier Deschamps squad and most recently have been held to draws against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Ukraine.
Belgium clearly has the superior form heading into this game and with Romelu Lukaku scoring goals for fun, Belgium will not get a better opportunity to enter a tournament final.
Prediction: Belgium 3 France 2
Suggested Bets:
Belgium head to head at $2.95
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Belgium head to head
Leg 2: R. Lukaku anytime goal scorer
Leg 3: Total goals scored over 2.5
Combined odds = $6.75
