Champions League Match Day Three, Tips & Previews, Sep 28th

Match-day three of European Champions League is here as our team goes through the best bets and same game multis for each fixture.

We charge into match-day three of the Champions League as the best teams in Europe battle it out through the group stage.

The Bet Deluxe team has landed on the best bets and same game multis for each Wednesday morning fixture.

Ajax vs. Besiktas

September 29th 2:45am

Following a world class performance to open its Champions League account, Ajax plays host to Besiktas in its second round of fixtures.

The Dutch champion went on a scoring rampage to record a 5-1 victory over Sporting Lisbon thanks to four goals from Sebastien Haller.

Besiktas, meanwhile, fell 2-1 to Borussia Dortmund and face an injury crisis heading into match.

Domagoj Vida, Welinton, Atiba Hutchinson, Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, Rachid Ghezzal, Mehmet Topal, Miralem Pjanic will all miss this crucial clash against an Ajax team which has scored 30 goals and only conceded one in all competitions this season.

The betting is suggesting Ajax will easily lock away the three points in this game to hold fort atop of Group C.

Prediction: Ajax 2 Besiktas 0

Suggested Bets: First goal scorer Sebastien Haller first goal scorer at $3.3

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Ajax head to head
Leg 2: S. Haller anytime goal
Combined odds = $1.68

Shakhtar Donetsk vs. Inter

September 29th 2:45am

With both teams staring down the gauntlet of two losses to their opening Champions League fixtures, it is a must win for Inter Milan and Shakthar.

Inter did have one the toughest opening games of the tournament when it faced Real Madrid and fell to a 1-0 defeat, while Shakhtar was shocked with a 2-0 defeat against Sheriff Tiraspol.

The Ukrainian side may fancy itself to bounce back at home, but the form it showed in the Group opener was no where near good enough to beat Inter.

Even without Romelu Lukaku – who was so pivotal for Inter last season – the Italian champion should pack enough punches to score victory here.

Prediction: Shakhtar Donetsk 0 Inter 3

Suggested Bets: Inter Milan head to head at $1.50

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Inter head to head
Leg 2: E. Dzeko any time goalscorer
Leg 3: Total goals over 2.5

Combined odds = $3

PSG vs. Manchester City

September 29th 5:00am

One of the most anticipated group clashes comes to fruition on Wednesday morning when European powerhouses PSG and Manchester City go head to head.

It will be the first time these two heavyweights lock horns again after facing each other in the Champions League semi-finals last season with City taking victory in both legs.

The football world was finally treated to the sight of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe lining up in the same PSG team during their Champions League opener with Club Brugge two weeks ago.

But, incredibly, PSG was held to a 1-1 draw with Club Brugge in a massive upset that could send Group A into a frenzy.

A winless start is something PSG coach Maurizio Pochettino would not have planned for, while Pep Guardiola must find a way to get his troops energised on the back of a brutal week of fixtures.

Taking a neutral stance on this game and going with the parity.

Prediction: PSG 1 Manchester City 1

Suggested Bets: Draw at $3.50

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Total goals scored under 2.5
Leg 2: Fernandinho to receive a yellow card
Leg 3: Man City over 3.5 corners
Combined odds = $7

RB Leipzig vs. CLub Brugge

September 29th 5:00am

Still in search of victory coming into the second round of group fixtures, both RB Leipzig and Club Brugge will be desperate to find three points when the pair meet for this Group A clash.

Club Brugge might have caused the upset of the Group stages when holding PSG to a 1-1 draw, while Leipzig were battered 6-3 in a shoot out at the Etihad.

Despite the heavy loss for Leipzig, striker Christopher Nkunku bagged a hattrick and the German side has since banged in six goals when romping to victory over Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga over the weekend.

Fully expecting Leipzig to notch up the three points here in front of their home crowd.

Prediction: RB Leipzig 2 Club Brugge 1

Suggested Bets: RB Leipzig head to head at $1.45

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: RB Leipzig head to head
Leg 2: Total goals scored over 2.5
Leg 3: A. SIlva anytime goal scorer
Combined odds = $2.40

ac milan vs. atletico madrid

September 29th 5:00am

AC Milan and Atletico Madrid will meet at San Siro with both squads looking to find their first points of the group stage after dropping points in their opening fixtures.

The Rossoneri were brave in their return to the Champions League after a hiatus away from a competition it has won on seven occasions.

A 3-2 loss against Liverpool without Zlatan Ibrahimovic is something Milan can build on, while Atletico was held to a scoreless draw against FC Porto.

AC Milan boast a much stronger front line than what Ateltico has shown this season, but it is the defensive fortitude that holds the visitors in with a winning chance.

The Rossoneri will tough time attempting to break down Diego Simeone’s resilient backline, and we expect the search for a first European win of the season to continue following a hard-fought draw.

Prediction: AC Milan 1 Atletico Madrid 1

Suggested Bets: Draw at $3.10

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Total goals scored under 2.5
Leg 2: A. Rebic anytime goals scorer
Combined odds = $4.50

Borussia Dortmund vs. Sporting Lisbon

September 29th 5:00am

Borussia Dortmund will aim to make it two wins from its opening two games when it faces a Sporting Lisbon squad coming off a massive 5-1 loss in its first European fixture.

Erling Haaland continued his incredible goal-scoring run to guide Dortmund to a 2-1 win over Turkish champion Besiktas and young star Jude Bellingham also found the score sheet.

The German powerhouse has looked at its strongest under Marco Rose this season and currently sits first on the domestic, while Lisbon has bounced back into form with two Primeira Liga wins in a row.

There are some slight injury concerns for both teams with Lisbon missing their star striker Pedro Goncalves, while Dortmund await the fitness of Haaland and Marco Reus.

Regardless of the announced squads, Dortmund has too much depth in its squad to be throwing this game away.

Prediction: Borussia Dortmund 2 Sporting Lisbon 0

Suggested Bets: Borussia Dortmund head to head

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: B. Dortmund head to head
Leg 2: D. Malen anytime goal scorer
Combined odds = $2.25

Real Madrid vs. Sheriff Tiraspol

September 29th 5:00am

We might be winding back to the Real Madrid of old when it faces Sheriff Tiraspol in a bid to make it back-to-back wins to begin its Champions League campaign.

Carlo Ancelotti looked to have instilled a new found belief in Los Blancos as his men registered a 1-0 win over Inter Milan, while Sheriff was arguably one of the more impressive performers in week one with a 2-0 win over Shakthar Donetsk.

Madrid has made a strong start to the start in all competitions and they will expect to advance through this group as it begins to restore the powerhouse it has been throughout European history.

Sitting on top of the domestic league will give them more confidence heading into this tricky game.

Prediction: Real Madrid 4 Sheriff Tiraspol 0

Suggested Bets: Real Madrid to win to nil at $1.52

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Both teams to score – NO
Leg 2: Total goals over 3.5
Leg 3: K. Benzema anytime goal scorer
Combined odds = $4.20

FC Porto vs. Liverpool

September 29th 5:00am

Liverpool treks over to Estadio Do Dragao in attempt to make it two wins from two fixtures when it faces FC Porto in a critical Group B clash.

FC Porto opened its campaign with a scoreless draw against Atletico Madrid, while the Reds saw off AC Milan 3-2 in Champions League classic at an Anfield.

Klopp’s side battered Porto in the quarter final during their 2018/19 Champions league triumph  with 2-0 result at home before a 4-1 success away.

The Reds will need to bounce back from a 3-3 draw against Brentford, but expect them to do so here.

Prediction: FC Porto 1 Liverpool 2

Suggested Bets: Liverpool head to head at $1.72
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Liverpool head to head
Leg 2: M. Salah anytime goal scorer
Combined odds = $2.40
