Green light on, bunny rolls and we’re off and racing.
The best bets for Saturday night greyhound racing at The Meadows.
The Meadows Race 1
#4 Foxy Bourbski
Tipping Foxy Bourbski again after he got hampered for a run at this track and distance last start.
He drew box four in the Maiden Final race and was tightly squeeze in between two other dogs when attempting to find the top into the back straight.
In a smaller field and with no one drawn to his immediate outside, he should be able to follow favourite across and tag his back.
Backing this Andrea Dailly chaser to be stronger than that Amnesty due to his experience at the distance.
Suggested Bet: Foxy Bourbski win at $3.9
Suggested Exotic: Quinella 4 & 7
The Meadows Race 3
#1 Zippy Tesla
Heavily in the camp of Zippy Tesla who looks much better setup than the $2 favourite Aston Merit.
She was a winner at The Meadows over 525 metres last start in a time of 30.22 and that looks good enough to be the on top selection here.
Aston Merit is a fast dog, but he will be vulnerable late in the this race with all his form coming over the short course over 350 metres.
Zippy Tesla has all runs on the board in this grade, at this track and at this distance to serve it up to the favourite.
Suggested Bet: Zippy Tesla win $3.4
The Meadows Race 6
#3 Fernando Frank
The scratching of Venus Light opens this race right up for Fernando Frank to lead and dominate in.
The query coming into the race was whether or not he would be able to hold out the early burn set by Venus Light, but he will not have to worry about that now.
David Knocker prepares this three-year-old chaser for his second run in three days after setting him up for victory at The Meadows over 600 metres on Wednesday.
He scored the victory in a time of 34.22 which would almost certainly see him win this race with luck from the box.
Suggested Bet: Fernando Frank win at $2.25
Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 1, 3, 6, 9
The Meadows race 8
#2 Earn the answers
We will be earning a quid backing Earn the Answers in this race.
Lyn Smith gets this chaser ready for career victory number 15 in this 525-metre Grade 3/4 event at The Meadows.
The two-year-old dog has a scintillating 29.62 personal best victory here that will send the rating charts into a frenzy.
He chased home the very smart Fernando Bluey at this course and distance last start when running sub 30-seconds again.
Box two will be ideal for him as he can burn to the front with his scorching early speed and lead this field a merry dance to the finish line.
Would be surprised if anything got within a length of him should he have his own way out in the lead as predicted.
Suggested Bet: Earn The Answers win at $2.30
The Meadows Race 9
#6 Thunder Tears
Thunder Tears is ready to finally breakthrough for victory at The Meadows after a cracking effort last Saturday over 525 metres.
His record reads six starts and five placings over this track and distance, but this looks his best chance to get that elusive win with box five next door to him being empty.
It will allow to find some early space in the race and he can fully utilise his turn of foot to find the front without too hassle.
His danger is Chop Scotch, but all his that dog’s form comes over the short-course.
Our selection has the fitness edge over him given he has run constantly over the 525 metres over the last two months.
Suggested Bet: Thunder Tears in at $3.8
Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 6/ 3/ Field
