The Meadows Greyhounds Tips & Previews, Saturday 18th September

It's off to The Meadows for the tips and preview of Saturday night greyhound racing in Victoria.

Green light on, bunny rolls and we’re off and racing.

The best bets for Saturday night greyhound racing at The Meadows.

The Meadows Race 1

#4 Foxy Bourbski

Foxy Bourbski finally put it all together to score victory for the first time in her career last start.

The one-year-old chaser trained by Andrea Dailly was never challenged in her one-and-a-half length victory at The Meadows over 525 metres and is now primed to make it two on the bounce.

She seems to be the only dog who possesses solid early speed in this field and the lead is all hers should she jump as cleanly she did last week.

Tough to see her starting anything longer $2.5 and could very well start odd-on closer to start time.

Suggested Bet: Foxy Bourbski win at $2.5

The Meadows Race 2

#7 Americano Miss

Only bad luck is going to beat Americano Miss in this race.

Andrea Dailly prepares another chaser hard in the market, but this one looks a clear class above her opposition.

She raced in a G7 event over 525 metres at this track 10 days ago and fought on valiantly behind Ben Mayo as a $2.8 elect in the market.

The time of 30.05 recorded in that race is miles better than anything this field has produced.

This is just going to be a case of how far.

Back her and get in line at the queue.

Suggested Bet: Americano Miss win at $1.80

The Meadows Race 7

#2 Kanji Height

Willing to give Kanji Knight another go here after she was unable to get the job done for us last week.

She was tad unlucky when jumping from box four at this course and distance, but she fought on like a good chaser to fight back and run third.

It was only four starts ago where she ran a dazzling 30.10 over The Meadows 525-metre circuit to prove she is not to be dealt with lightly in races like this.

Her advantage over the odds-on favourite is that she seems to appreciate racing at The Meadows where as the favourite has all his career best form at Sandown.

Think she will start much closer to the favourite in the market as we closer to race time.

Suggested Bet: Kanji Height win at $4

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 1 & 2

The Meadows race 8

#3 King of Calypso

Siding with King of Calypso to topple the favourite Empress Tears.

The Tim Britton-trained dog raced last Saturday over 600 metres at The Meadows and did a good enough job to finish third out of six runners.

He was having his first crack at the 600-metre circuit for the first time since March and now, with that run over the distance in his fitness base, it should see him be able to sustain his sprint for longer.

His main advantage over the favourite is that he does not have a big gap between runs, whereas Empress Tears has to contend with missing nearly a month away from racing.

That can prove a massive difference when racing in these stamina sapping events.

Suggested Bet: King of Calypso win at $4

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 2, 3, 6

The Meadows Race 10

#1 ALl in billy

All In Billy is perfectly drawn to lead, boot clear and win this race.

The Tony Duncan-trained dog put in a solid runner-up effort at The Meadows over 525 metres last Saturday behind Super Marli and that form looks superior to his main rivals.

He had to jump from the squeeze box in that race and, despite not leading, he kept chasing hard to the line and if not for a slight bump at the start he might have won the race.

The early speed map in this event has him leading without too much of an issue and that should be the set-up he needs to be winning this race without a fuss.

He has the best personal best out of all these dogs over this course and distance with a 29.80 and is clearly the best chaser in the race.

Suggested Bet: All In BIlly $2.4
