Randwick Tips & Previews, Saturday 18th September

The Wizard of Odds finds his best bets ahead of George Main Stakes Day at Randwick.

George Main Stakes is the feature event as we delve into the 10-race card at Randwick.

The Wizard of Odds has gone through his best bets and may have very well found the runner to knock off short-price favourite Verry Elleegant.

Randwick Race 1

#11 Nadaraja

Trainer Stephen Jones has hands on a very quick three-year-old gelding in the form of Nadaraja.

He comes to town for this Highway sprinting event after absolutely bolting in Class 2 at Scone over 1100 metres which he won by nearly six lengths.

This sprinter is the one who look have the fresh legs here and possesses the nicest turn of foot of anything we have seen in this field.

Jones has not wasted any time either with a jockey and has booked in the services of gun metro hoop Tim Clark to guide this potential Kosciuszko horse around Randwick for the first time.

Clearly the one to beat and making him the best of the day to get us off to a winning start.

Suggested Bet: Nadaraja win at $2.7

Randwick Race 5

#11 Atishu

Atishu had been double nominated by Chris Waller for this Group 3 race and a much easier BM-88, but he has opted for the harder race.

The four-year-old mare imported from New Zealand put in a cracker of a run on her Australian debut to win by 1.3 lengths with a fair bit left in the tank over 1400 metres.

She then struck bad luck last start as a well backed $3.8 favourite when making the rise to 1500 metres.

Do not mind her come back to 1400 metres for this race with an inside barrier and only 53kgs to carry.

She looks perfectly placed to find her way back the winners enclosure.

Suggested Bet: Atishu win at $4

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 5, 11, 12

Randwick Race 7

#2 Think It Over

Tipping Think It Over to get the job done over Verry Elleegant in the George Main Stakes.

Kerry Packer has a ripper of a horse with Think It Over and he arguably scored the most impressive win of his career after hunting Riodini and being launched over the line under the spirited urgings of Nash Rawiller.

It was the win of a serious horse as he attacked the finish line with ferocity to set himself up perfectly to topple the favourite here.

He has an extra run under his belt which is going to hold him in good stead for this big mile event.

Rawiller can find a handy spot with cover from barrier six and prove hard to run down.

Suggested Bets: Think It Over win at $3.8

Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 2, 7/ 1, 2, 3 ,7/ 1, 2, 3, 7, 9

Randwick Race 9

#14 She's Ideel

She’s Ideel gets a huge weight swing in her favour against Montefillia and that is one of several reasons to gravitate towards the Bjorn Baker mare.

Her resuming run in the Winx Stakes (1400m) was enormous and showed how well she has returned for her spell.

She followed it up with a midfield finish behind potential spring carnival Group 1 winner Think It Over in what was a solidly run Randwick mile.

The six-year-old Dundeel mare faced Montefillia in that race, carried a half-kilo extra and started nearly a third of the price.

She now gets up to 2000 metres which is closer to the distance where she does her best racing and we should see her settle closer to the leaders than she has at her last two starts.

Only has to lug around the 53kgs from barrier two and is the one to be with.

Suggested Bet: She’s Ideel win at $3.3
