Moe Tips & Previews, Monday September 13th

The Wizard of Odds begins the week for punters with his best bets from Moe.

We begin a new racing week at Moe with the best bets ahead of Monday racing.

The Wizard of Odds is all over the nine-race card and is backing the Freedman stable to find a winner in the first.

Moe Race 1

#8 Miss Middle Park

Miss Middle Park was nominated for a Mornington maiden alongside stablemate Frontman and was scratched from that race for this event.

She did draw a very wide gate that day and draws the widest barrier in this event which is not ideal, but she looks to possess enough talent to defy any issues she might face.

The three-year-old filly is a Maurice-bred galloper, so she is likely to get out towards the mile range as her career progresses.

She showed more than enough sharpness and dash in her jump outs to suggest she can win over the sprint course early in her career.

Fully expect her to make a winning debut.

Suggested Bet: Miss Middle Man win at $2.7

Moe Race 2

#12 Saskatoon

A lot of this field has unveiled its talent and is yet to really enamour any punters as a serious winning hope in this race.

Saskatoon is one of three first starters and looks the sharpest of those after a solid enough Flemington jump out on September 3.

He jumped cleanly, settled behind the leaders in a small jump out and travelled idly towards the line without being for much of an effort.

The three-year-old gelding is sired by Star Turn who was a gun Group sprinter and, if his breeding is anything to go by, he should have enough speed to win this race.

Suggested Bet: Saskatoon win at $3.8

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 12 & 14

Moe Race 5

#4 Pina

Pina has not won a race since 2019, however she gets the chance to find the third win of her career here.

She was travelling into her race beautifully at Cranbourne over 2080 metres last start, but could get no momentum nor find a way out as the big  field rounded her and she got stuck on the fence.

It was a complete forgive run and she gets into a much a easier race with a lot less pace that will allow her to settle closer to the leaders.

This mare will get the dry conditions she needs to run to her best and she just needs a bit of luck from the inside barrier to be a serious winning hope.

Suggested Bet: Pina win at $4.8

Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 4, 10/ 1, 4, 10/ 1, 2, 4, 10

Moe Race 9

#18 Grazie Mille

Grazie Mille started a $4.4 elect in BM-58 grade on a heavy track over the mile last start and did a good job to finish third.

That run looks to measure up in this race and suspect we will see the best of this mare getting back onto a good track.

Her only two starts at the track have led to a win and that last start placing, and she looks to be afforded a nice midfield run with cover from the wide gate.

Craig Newitt remaining on board is a positive sign and we can this mare on an each-way basis to get a collect should she run a place at worst.

Suggested Bet: Grazie Mille each-way at $8.5 the win and $2.7 the place.

Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 7, 18/ 1, 4, 7, 18/ 1, 2, 4, 7, 18
