The Wizard of Odds finds his best bets ahead of Makybe Diva Stakes Day at Flemington.

It’s Group 1 Makyve Diva Stakes from headquarters at Flemington.

The Wizard of Odds finds his best bets for nine-race card ahead of a massive spring carnival day.

Flemington Race 1

#3 Tooradin

Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace has got Tooradin humming along at the moment.

He has won three times and finished runner-up three times in his six runs this campaign and hits this race to ready a career best rating over this staying distance.

His last start was a gritty win in a sit and sprint affair at Caulfield where he held off all challengers to grind his way to victory when running over 2400 metres for the firs time.

The stable has targeted him perfectly for this race and he is the only horse in in the event that is VOBIS Gold nominated for extra prize money should he win.

Damian Lane loops his leg over the saddle here and this looks a clear top pick.

Suggested Bet: Tooradin win at $3.7

Flemington Race 4

#5 Crystal Bound

Crystal Bound appears for her third career start when returning from her much deserved break after a nice first preparation.

Her debut win as a two-year-old was a stunning six-length win at Moonee Valley run in very sharp time which she then followed up with a second place finish at Randwick behind the smart Jamaea.

She looks to have come back a much better race horse after watching her Caulfield jump out over 800 metres.

The now three-year-old  filly chased her stablemate Fake Love up the rising hill of the back straight and she stuck on very well with very little riding.

Jockey Jye Mcneil takes the rides here and will find himself with a beautiful trailing run from barrier four up the Flemington straight.

She is the one to be with here and looks the best of the day.

Suggested Bet: Crystal Bound win at $3.4

Flemington Race 8

#12 Tofane

Giving Tofane another chance here after she was dealt a poor ride by Craig Williams in the Memsie Stakes two weeks ago.

Williams had the six-year-old mare in the perfect stalking role behind the leaders at Caulfield, but was pocketed by eventual winner Behemoth when the pace came out of race.

She had to check off heels and lost momentum when she should have been in clear air building her run, but alas she chased hard and finished third.

While she is yet to race at the mile in her 23-start career, punters should have no qualms with her ability to run out the race given the strength she showed late in her effort last start.

Williams should be able to have full momentum at the point of corner into the home straight this time and it will allow the mare to run to her best.

Suggested Bet: Tofane win at $4.6

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 6, 10, 12

Flemington Race 9

#14 Skyman

What a return to racing from Skyman who looks set to progress to some nice black-type races this spring carnival.

The Chris Waller-trained gelding scorched home on the rail at Moonee Valley over 1500 metres when resuming from a spell and now gets up in distance to 1700 metres.

This horse has had great success at Flemington with three starts for two wins and barrier one should give him the best chance at making it three from four.

His regular jockey Damien Thornton remains in the saddle and will tasked with guiding him with a clear passage into the straight.

Suggested Bet: Skyman win at $3.3

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 10, 14, 16
