NFL MVP 2021/22, Tips & Preview

The NFL season is upon us as we analyse the best bets for the NFL MVP.

The Bet Deluxe team previews the best bets for the NFL MVP award given to the best player throughout the 2021/22 season.

Patrick Mahomes heads the market and 2020 winner Aaron Rodgers is also well fancied to repeat his efforts of last season.

Patrick Mahomes

Kansas City Chiefs

There is a saying that goes along the line of ‘you don’t have to be dead to be stiff.’

That rang true for Patrick Mahomes last year after he missed out on the NFL MVP award to Aaron Rogers despite a career best season.

Mahomes did it all for Kansas City bar guiding his troops to a Super Bowl triumph.

He threw for 4,740 yards and 38 touchdowns.

Suspect he will have a chip on his shoulder coming into this season given the Super Bowl loss as well as being shaded out for the top individual gong.

At only 25 years of age he still had a stack of improvement to come and is a deserved favourite.

Suggested Bet: Patrick Mahomes NFL MVP winner at $5.5

Tom Brady

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tom Brady quarterbacking and leading possibly the top team in the NFC puts him squarely in the conversation for MVP honours this season.

Brady and Buccaneers boast one of the deepest groups of pass catchers and receivers in the league that is complimented by an elite offensive line.

Getting the amount of touchdowns he requires to be considered a worthy hope will not be too difficult.

The narratives surrounding Brady’s possible final season and run at a Super Bowl repeat write themselves.

It would be a story for the ages should ‘The Goat’ finish his career with a fourth MVP in the locker.

Suggested Bet: Tom Brady NFL MVP winner at $11

Josh Allen

Buffalo BIlls

Josh Allen is a serious contender for MVP based on what he produced last season and there is every reason to suggest he can go again.

The knock on his game over the years has been his inaccuracy, but that negative stigma seems to be slowly fading away.

The Bills are heavily reliant on his arm to produce offensive forays given their running game not the best.

Allen threw for 4,977 yard and 38 touchdowns last season to put himself on the map as one of the best ever quarterbacks in Bills’ history.

He, like Mahomes, still have a bit to go until they reach their ceilings being 25 years old.

Suggested Bet: Josh Allen NFL MVP winner at $11
