Greyhound Racing Tips

The Meadows Greyhounds Tips & Previews, Saturday 4 September

It's off to The Meadows for the tips and preview of Saturday night greyhound racing in Victoria.

Green light on, bunny rolls and we’re off and racing.

The best bets for Saturday night greyhound racing at The Meadows.

The Meadows Race 1

#5 Boston Garden

Boston Garden comes out the strongest heat for this race and is in with a leading chance here.

He jumped very cleanly in his heat, but was crossed by Impulse Buy who drew out deeper on the track and went on to win.

Boston Garden was half the price of Impulse Buy in that race which has to be taken into account here.

Impulse Buy is now awkwardly drawn in box one and the race seems to pan out the way of Boston Garden who can spear across from the middle lid and find the front before the favourite.

Expecting him to start closer to favourite and might even start favourite over Impulse Buy.

Suggested Bet: Boston Garden win at $

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 1 & 5

The Meadows Race 3

#4 Gypsy Wyong

Gypsy Wyong continues to improve with every run and is slowly turning into a gun staying dog.

Andrea Dailly prepares this bitch for her first ever attempt at 725 metres.

It might look a daunting on paper, but Gypsy Wyong has a great base of stamina in order to run a strong race.

She is going to be the dog that finds the front with ease and it will be a wait with baited to see if she can hold off the finishing burst of Hank the Hustler.

It will be heart-in-mouth stuff.

Suggested Bet: Gypsy Wyong at $4.4

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Exacta 4 & 2

The Meadows Race 5

#2 Here's Tears

Having a punt on Here’s Tears who brings in a completely form guide to the majority of this field.

He resumed off an 88-day spell at Sandown over 595 metres in Gr/5 grade and went very well considering it was done so without a full level of race fitness.

The rise to 725 metres is exactly what is needed for this dog to be an optimum level.

He is yet to miss a place from six attempts with the black and white rug, boasting twos and four fourths.

The four-year-old veteran chaser will jump and settle himself toward the first two or three runners.

Another each-way fancy we can settle on.

Suggested Bet: Here’s Tears win at $5.5 the win and $1.65 the place.

Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 2, 5/ 2, 5, 8/ 1, 2, 5, 8

The Meadows race 8

#8 Earn the answers

Earn The Answers owns a very sharp turn of foot in the middle stages of his racing and is the one to be with here.

There might be a little bit pace that kicks up inside of him, but his last start effort was too hard to ignore.

He jumped like a jet at this track and distance last start, scooted along to the front and never looked back.

He ran a very slick 29.83 which is the quickest time last start time of any dog to have run over this course and distance last start.

He also boasts four wins and a placing from his seven starts when brandying the pink rug.

The wide box allows him to gear up and get into full strde without being squeezed by other dogs.

Suggested Bet: Earn The Answers each-way at $6.5 the win and $1.95 the place.

The Meadows Race 10

#1 Winlock Thor

Winlock Thor thrives when he races at The Meadows.

His last few starts might suggest his best racing is behind him, but he has been drawing poorly.

He finally finds the cherry box and the sight of the rails early in the race should spark him into action early in this race.

With nine starts registering three wins and four placings when umping box one, he is a great betting prospect in this race.

Expecting him to replicate his 30.10 run from two starts or potentially even better it which will send him on his way to victory

Suggested Bet: Winlock Thor win at $4.4

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 1, 2, 3
