English Premier League Match Week 3 Tips and Previews, Saturday 28th August

The best bets as we head into Matchweek 3 of the Premier League.

And just like that, we hit match week three of the Premier League season.

Manchester City faces off against Arsenal to get us underway for another massive weekend.

Manchester City vs. Arsenal

August 28th 9:30pm

With the rumour mill circling around Cristiano Ronaldo’s incumbent arrival at Manchester City, the reigning champion has a test against Arsenal at the Etihad.

City bounced back from an opening loss against Tottenham to thrash Norwich 5-0, while Arsenal showed improvement despite going down 2-0 to Chelsea.

Arsenal will welcome Pierre-Emerick Aubamayeng and Alex Lacazette to the starting line-up.

Think Arsenal can pinch a draw.

Prediction: Manchester City 1 Arsenal 1

Suggested Bets:
Total goals scored under 2.5 goals at $2.38
Draw at $6

Brighton vs. Everton

August 29th 12:00am

Everton seeks to continue to its solid under the guidance of Rafael Benitez when it faces Brighton & Hove Albion on the road.

Brighton has also started the season brightly with two wins in its opening two games.

Defensively, Graham Potter has his men looking very solid, tough to break down and the offence looks dangerous as well.

Prediction: Brighton 1 Everton 0

Suggested Bet: Brighton & Hove Albion head to head at $2.35

Aston Villa vs. Brentford

August 29th 12:00am

Brentford is on the road again, this time heading to Villa Park for a clash against Aston Villa.

The Bees remain undefeated in the league this season with a 2-0 opening day victory against Arsenal being followed up by a 0-0 at Selhurst Park.

Villa, meanwhile, recorded a 2-0 win over Newcastle to open its Premier League account as it continues to deal with life without Jack Grealish.

Predicition: Aston Villa 2 Brentford 2

Suggested Bet: Draw at $3.50

West Ham vs. Crystal Palace

August 29th 12:00am

League leader West Ham United look to retain top spot when it faces Patrick Viera’s Crystal Palace.

David Moyes looks to have released the shackles on the Hammers this season after a 4-2 win in matchweek one was followed up by a 4-1 belting of Leicester City.

Crystal Palace, meanwhile, are yet to notch up a win but have looked compact at the back under Viera’s watch.

Prediction: West Ham United 1 Crystal Palace 0

Suggested Bet: West Ham or draw & under 2.5 goals at $1.85

Norwich City vs. Leicester City

August 29th 12:00am

Leicester and Norwich look to bounce back after heavy defeats in their most recent Premier League outings when the pair face each other this Sunday.

The Foxes were hunted down by the Hammers after being reduced to 10 men, while were simply no match for Manchester City.

Ayoze Perez will miss this game for Leciester due to receiving the red card on Tuedsay and his absence might just be with the Canaries need to win this.

Prediction: Norwich 1 Leicester 0

Suggested Bet: Norwich head to head at $4.35

Newcastle vs. Southampton

August 29th 12:00am

With both sides still winless in the new Premier League season, Newcastle United welcome Southampton to St James’ Park for Saturday’s top-flight encounter.

Steve Bruce’s side go into the game after being knocked out of the EFL Cup on penalties by Burnley, while the Saints put eight unanswered goals past Newport County in round two.

This looks a very tough to split, but the home advantage might just favour the Magpies here.

Prediction: Newcastle 3 Southampton 2

Suggested Bet: Newcastle head to head at $2.5

Liverpool vs. Chelsea

August 29th 2:30am

The match of the round.

Liverpool and Chelsea go toe to toe at Anfield in a battle of the European giants.

Both teams come into clash with two wins from their opening two games and we look set for a mouthwatering clash against championship winning squads.

Chelsea look to be humming along after a 2-0 win over Arsenal, while Liverpool put away Burnley at home last week.

Not even going to bother siding one way or the other here.

Prediction: Liverpool 1 Chelsea 1

Suggested Bet: Draw at $3.3

Burnley vs. Leeds United

August 29th 11:00pm

Burnley welcomes Leeds United to Turf Moor on Sunday in a bid to find its first point of Premier League season.

Leeds has had the wood over the Clarets in recent history having done the double over them last season with 1-0 and 4-0 victories.

Burnley does look like it will be in a relegation battle again this season and it might struggle to stop the offensive nature of Marcelo Bielsa’s men in this fixture.

Prediction: Burnley 1 Leeds United 3

Suggested Bet: Leeds United head to head at $2.30

Tottenham vs. Watford

August 29th 11:00pm

A Delle Alli penalty in the 1-0 win over Wolverhampton is what kept Tottenham’s winning start to the Premier League season intact and it is now tasked with facing Watford.

Spurs will be buoyed by the news that star striker Harry Kane has announced his intentions to remain at the club as coach Nuno Espirito Santos has his men playing league-winning football.

Watford, however, will be zoned in on survival having been promoted from the Championship last season.

The home team should pack too much of a punch for Watford to handle.

Prediction: Tottenham 3 Watford 0

Suggested Bet: Tottenham head to head at $1.42

Wolverhampton vs. Manchester United

August 30th 1:30am

Manchester United is on the hunt for victory when it faces Wolverhampton at Molineux on Monday morning.

The Red Devils looked lacklustre as they were held to a 1-1 draw against Southampton, while Wolverhampton looked dangerous against Tottenham despite doing down 1-0.

Mason Greenwood and Bruno Fernandes have started the season on fire, but this Wolves team will be determined to prove it can do it under the tutelage of a new coach in Bruno Lage.

Prediction:  Wolverhamton 1 Manchester United 1

Suggested Bet: Draw at $3.4
