Warrnambool hosts Thursday night greyhound racing.
The best bets across the 11-race card are and there is plenty of value to be found out at the ‘Bool.
Warrnambool Race 3
#3 Valeska Bale
Valeska Bale was brave in defeat when finishing second behind Mepunga Legend.
The one-year-old bitch from the Daniel GIbbons yard comes into the with her last win being two starts ago when she scored impressively at Ballarat over 450 metres.
With that win in mind, her run last start was actually much better than her winning effort and if she can repeat that performance it can be argued she should be the favourite.
She is yet to miss a place from box three in three starts when donning the white rug and looks well placed in this race.
Suggested Bet: Valeska Bale win at $3.8
Warrnambool Race 4
#5 Zimmer Bale
Zimmer Bale is going great guns at the moment having won three out of his last five starts.
He has notched up two wins on the bounce leading into this Free For All race over 450 metres.
Both those wins have come at the track and distance he faces tonight with his early speed setting him apart from his competitors in recent times.
Love the way he has dashed away from the boxes during August and he is a dog that is clearly loving his racing.
The main threat to his chances is obviously Rocket Boy who comes up the odds-on favourite, but he does seem under the odds.
Suggested Bet: Zimmer Bale win at $5.5
Suggested Exotic: Exacta 3 & 1
Warrnambool Race 5
#1 Tapering off
Tapering Off drops down in class to a Grade 5 affair and is perfectly place to find the winners list again.
He has a slashing personal best of 25.41 at this track which would win this race by a long way.
His last start effort behind Fernando Quest in much harder company than what he faces tonight highlighted how well he is going despite not winning.
He ran a 25.53 over 450 metres at this track and anything close to that will see him winning this race.
Suggested Bet: Tapering Off win at $3.20
Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 1/ 4, 6/ 4, 6
Warrnambool Race 6
#7 Tiger Time
Box seven will suit Tiger Time much better than the squeeze box he copped last week.
The two-year-old started a $2.5 favourite at Warrnambool over 450 metres last start and was unlucky when copping a slight check at a critical stage of the race.
He tried hard to muster up but the ship had sailed and he could only manage a fourth-place finish.
Looks much better placed this time around with box seven being the starting for three of his 15 career wins.
Making him the the best of the night at Warrnambool.
Suggested Bet: Tiger Time win at $2.70
Warrnambool Race 8
#8 Masked Avenger
Masked Avenger bolted in over 390 metres at Warrnambool last start and now faces the in distance to 450 metres for this distance final.
He showed great dash and acceleration a week ago to win in 22.10 as a $1.40 favourite.
His last try at the course and distance he faces in this event was an unlucky sixth place finish when being beaten as a $2.10 elect.
Box eight should prove no issues for him given his one win and one placing from two starts in the pink jacket.
The market has sent him out very short odds at his last five starts and that must be respceted here.
This is the longest price we are getting compared to those five efforts about a dog who is in good winning form.
Have to have a ticket on him here.
Suggested Bet: Masked Avenger win at $2.4
Suggested Exotic: Quinella 8 & 9
