The Wizard of Odds takes his watchful eyes to Caulfield for his preview of Peter Lawrence Stakes Day.
He has come up with a nice each-way flutter in race two, while the top-weight in the PB Lawrence is the one to be with.

Forget about Inverloch’s effort last start when he pulled up with issues at Ipswich and was beaten a long way from home.
He has since had a nice trial in between runs which shows that he is likely to have recovered well from that last start failure.
The drop back to the mile actually looks an ideal situation given he is the likely leader and is rock hard fit.
Last time he raced over the mile at Caulfield he posted a solid rating when winning by just over a length in a race that featured the favourite for this race.
Suggested Bet: Inverloch each-way at $10 the win and $4 the place (No Third Dividend)

Generation looks an enormous talent based on what he did in his first preparation.
He scored two wins from his two starts with his most recent effort being an impressive three-and-a-half length victory at Caulfield over 1200 metres before being sent for a spell.
The now three-year-old colt looks to have comeback in ripping order after some nice jumpouts.
Jamie Kah has been gifted the ride first-up after piloting him to victory last preparation.

#4 Najmaty
Najmaty is set to run a cracker when she resumes from her spell.
The three-year-old filly from the Peter & Paul Snowden yard has a slashing three-length victory at this track and distance from her first campaign which would likely win this.
The scary thing is, she is open to improvement from her two-year-old campaign and she has had three trials to get ready for this race.
Expecting her to be screwed down for a first-up assault over 1100 metres and onto bigger and better things this Spring Carnival.

Caulfield Race 8
#1 Best of days
Best of Days has had two jumpouts to get his fitness up the mark for this resuming run over 1400 metres in the PB Lawrence.
Godolphin has clearly made this a target race for resuming horses in recent years having taken out the event twice with Hartnell and more recently with Savatiano who scored victory last year.
Best of Days is a genuine Group 1 horse who looks well in at the weights in this weight-for-age race.
The star of the saddle Jamie Kah has taken the ride and it’s hard to see this galloper missing a place.
He will have the perfect trailing run in behind the favourite Streets of Avalon who will be the one he has to get past.
Suggested Bet: Best of Days each-way at $6 the win and $2.15 the place
