The best head to head bet, first tryscorer and total points scored markets.
head to head
August 7th 7:35pm
Melbourne Storm face a tricky test against Manly as we get set for this Saturday night blockbuster from Suncorp Stadium.
It feels as though this Melbourne winning streak will simply never end after it crushed Penrith with a 37-10 victory.
Manly, too, continued its winning record this season with a 40-22 triumph over Cronulla last week.
Both Melbourne and Manly last met back in Round 16 of 2020 and it was the Storm who came away with a 30-6 win, but the Sea Eagles were without their champion full back Tom Trbojevic.
His inclusion in this team cannot be undersold.
There is no way known we can tip against Melbourne given how well it is going at the moment, but make no doubt about it, Manly can serve up some heat in this one.
Suggested Bet: Manly +12.5 at $1.85
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Melbourne Storm head to head (SGM SPECIAL)
Leg 2: Manly +12.5
Leg 3: T. Trbojevic to score a try
Combined odds = $5.75
first try scorer
Tom Trbojevic/Dean Ieremia
Turbo Tom plays Melbourne for the first time in 2021 and he will be chomping at the bit to get at this Storm defence which has been solid as a rock.
He did not feature in the Round 16 clash between the teams last year and he is the man the Sea Eagles will always count their luck on.
For the Storm, Dean Ieremia has proven tough to stop.
His trio of tries against Penrith made it five tries in seven games this season.
He is the in-form winger for the Storm and is serious threat at getting across the line early in this one.
Suggested Bets:
T. Trbojevic first tryscorer at $13
D. Ieremia first tryscorer at $8.5
total points scored
Over 50.5
Think we are set for a try-scoring fest.
Last year the score between these two teams only reached 36 points, but as we keep mentioning, Manly’s offensive linchpin in Tom Trbojevic was absent.
His run and carry will set up a heap of Manly scoring opportunities.
The Storm is in brilliant scoring form as well, and it’s defence will come up against the toughest test it has had all year.
Suggested Bet: Total points over 50.5 at $1.90
