A debutant from the Edward Cummings has caught his eye as has a four-year-old mare in race five.

Randwick Kensington Race 1

#12 Have Mercy

Edward Cummings has his hands on a speedy filly from what we have seen at the trials.

She has been beautifully educated with her first trial over 800 metres showing she can settle behind a tail, peel off and let down.

The second trial taught her how to win and put her rivals away as she settled in between horses in the lead and pinged away under barely any riding.

Not too fussed about the wide gate here because she has enough speed to lead this race but if that does not occur she has proven she can take a sit.

Making her the best of the day.

Suggested Bet: Have Mercy win at $3.8

Randwick Kensington Race 3

#2 Bethencourt

To put it simply, Bethencourt is ready to win.

The Puissance De Lune four-year-old gelding from the Kim Waugh stable chased after Margie Bee hard last start as a $2.7 elect but just petered on his run late in the race.

That event was over 1900 metres and he was forced to chase from a long way out.

This race represents a great opportunity for him to get full control of the lead and dictate the race out in front.

Jockey Josh Parr is usually a very good front-running rider and will get to set the speed of the race if he decides to take it up.

Suggested Bet: Bethencourt win at $3

Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 2, 6/ 2, 4, 6/ 1, 2, 4, 6

Randwick Kensington Race 5

#2 Brazen Miss

Brazen Miss had despised the heavy tracks she has raced on at her last two starts after a nice first-up run behind Gravina.

When she has loomed up to run past her opposition at her two most recent her ‘wheels have spun’ in the wet going.

The drying track and clear weather forecast for Randwick should see the track get into a range that will see her comfortable in the run and allow her to use that sprint to full effect.

Big jockey booking with James McDonald taking the ride and he may opt to be super aggressive by leading from the inside barrier.

Suggested Bet: Brazen Gem win at $5

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 2 & 3

Randwick Kensington Race 7

#3 Gemmahra

Gemmahra was not given much of an opportunity at Ranwick over 1300 metres just over a fortnight ago.

She went from a solid 1500 metre run behind the smart Oscar Zulu to dropping down to 1300 metres and struggling to keep up.

Back up to 1550 metres and being drawn barrier three should see her land in the lead.

She is going to prove a tough nut to crack if she can dictate the led on the her terms and at the very least she should be running in the placings.

Nice each-way odds to end the day.

Suggested Bet: Gemmahra each-way at $11 the win and $3.4 the place.
