Milwaukee is on the precipice of glory when it faces Phoenix at Fiserv Forum on Wednesday morning.
The Bucks took a 3-2 lead at Phoenix Suns Arena over the weekend thanks to an upset 123-119 win despite trailing by 16 points at the first break.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday brilliantly staved off the threat of Devin Booker, Chris Paul and DeAndre Ayton.
Paul lifted his game to 21 points and 11 assists after being out of form in game four but even that, combined with Booker’s 40 points was not enough.
The Bucks trio of Antetokounmpo, Holiday and Middleton hit 88 of the 123 points scored in game five and were just that little bit cleaner on a night full of momentum swings.
A huge 43-26 second quarter in favour of the Bucks helped set up the win.
Mike Budenholzer and his men are now tasked with the pressure of delivering what would be the second NBA title in Milwaukee’s history.
The Bucks have dealt with the pressure all season and will be holding the trophy aloft in front of their adoring fans.
