A winter night at The Meadows.
Time to warm up those locked down souls with some dish licking winners across the Saturday night program.
The meadows race 2
#2 I'm easy boys
I’m Easy Boys was always there or abouts at this last start when running third behind Mepunga Ruby over 715 metres at Sandown.
He pops up at The Meadows which is a track he loves racing at.
He sports eight wins from 28 starts and his 41.99 effort last start would very likely trouble the favourite Zipping Rambo.
The price discrepancy between the two looks unfair.
Suggested Bet: I’m Easy Boys each-way at $6 the win and $2.5 the place
Suggested Exotic: Exacta 7 & 2
The Meadows Race 3
#2 Hank The Hustler
Hank The Hustler is one of the star greyhounds on the racing in Australia circuit, having been in career best form of late.
He is no nonsense dog who just jumps, runs and tries his guts out every time.
He has a significant starting price advantage over Five Star from when they last went head to head and he seems to be going much better than him at the moment.
Should get the perfect run in behind Run Like Jess who he can peel off late in the race and then power to the line for victory.
Suggested Bet: Hank The Hustler win at $2.6
the Meadows race 5
#4 Aston Fastnet
Aston Fastnet has bucket loads of talent but the only thing stopping him from becoming one of the very best are his hit and miss starts.
Going to price him on his ability to spring the lids like he did last start after going straight to the lead and carving out impressive sectionals in a 29.62 win at Albion Park over 520 metres.
Koblenz, the race favourite, is the obvious runner he has to hold off but he has the talent and form to do so.
We could see the making a genuine Group 1 dog if he can continue to jump cleanly.
Suggested Bet: Aston Fastnet win at $3.7
Suggested Exotic: Quinella 4 & 5
The Meadows race 7
#3 Nikoli Bale
Nikoli Bale is a chaser who continues to impressively rise through the ranks.
He produced a scorching 25.77 at Geelong over 460 metres last week after starting a $2.10 elect from box eight.
He has to contend with a rise to 525 metres but he has proven his worth over this circuit and distance.
His most recent effort under these conditions was a 30.13 win taking his overall record to three wins from five efforts at The Meadows 525-metre circuit.
If the favourite is off his game, this chaser poses a serious threat.
Suggested Bet: Nikoli Bale each-way at $9 the win and $2.3 the place
The Meadows Race 8
#4 Lala Kiwi
Starting to become an unabashed fan of Lala Kiwi.
She is one of the star prospects in greyhound racing across the country and we are backing her in to bounce back after her last start defeat.
The Andrea Dailly-trained two-year-old started an even money favourite at The Meadows in Free-For-All event but struck trouble from the inside box.
She kept fighting on but was ultimately beaten by six lengths.
Expecting a sharp improvement from her today and she looks like a massive chance to knock off her kennel mate Qwara Bale.
Suggested Bet: Lala Kiwi each-way at $5.5 the win and $1.90 the place
Suggested Exotic: Trifecta 2, 4/ 2, 3, 4/ 2, 3, 4, 7
