Quarter-final action at Wimbledon commences as we get into the pointy end of the tournament at the All England Club.
Our Aussie hopes Ashleigh Barty and Ajla Tomljanovic go head to head as our team find the best bets for the best games.
Karolina Pliskova vs. Viktorija GOlubic
6th July 10:00pm
Karolina Pliskova attempts to continue her career best run at Wimbledon when she comes up against Viktorija Golubic.
Pliskova has been prolific in the opening four rounds, winding back the clock to the form which saw her become world number one back in 2017.
Her 28-year-old opponent is also chiming in with a career best effort at not only at Wimbledon but at grand slam level.
You have to rewind all the way back to 2016 in order to get a gauge on the head to head between the ladies.
Golubic’s 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory over Pliskova is the only formline we have which directly involves the two.
That win was on the hardcourt but Golubic has shown her adept nature on the slow pace grass courts of England.
Pliskova has the runs on the board from a grand slam viewpoint, but Golubic looked ominously dangerous in her 7-6, 6-3 win over 23rd seed Madison Keys.
Suggested Bets:
Viktorija Golubic head to head at $2.70
Total games over 21.5 at $1.82
Ashleigh Barty vs. Ajla Tomljanovic
5th July 11:00pm
Australian compatriots Ashleigh Barty and Ajla Tomljanovic are set to trades forehands and backhands when they meet in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon.
Barty, the would number one and number one seed of the tournament, wiped Barbora Krejcikova with a 7-5, 6-3 straight sets victory in the fourth round to send a stark message to her opponents that her injuries will not be phasing her.
Meanwhile, Tomljanovic preceded her walkover win against Emma Raducanu with a heated 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 third round win over Jelena Ostapenko.
Tomljanovic was engaged in a verbal stoush with Ostapenko during and post match.
This will be the contrast of the cool, calm and composed Barty against the aggressive, hard-hitting Tomljanovic.
It is the first time both Barty and Tomljanovic go head to head in their careers but we will be firmly in the camp of our world number one.
Suggested Bet:
Ash Barty 2-0 at $1.52
Karolina Muchova vs. Angelique Kerber
6th July 11:00pm
Angelique Kerber and Karolina Muchova spar on Court 1 of the All England Club for a spot in the semi-finals.
Kerber has had to grind her way through to this phase of the grand slam but produced her most efficient outing in the fourth round with a 6-4, 6-4 win over 20th seed Coco Gauff.
Muchova, however, has looked to be light on her feet since the first having only dropped one set so far.
It is advantage Kerber at the head to head with the 33-year-old German holding a 2-0 record over her opponent.
While Muchova may hold sway from a rankings perspective, the value lies with Kerber who has a winning 10-1 grass record this season.
Suggested Bet:
Angelique Kerber head to head at $1.64
Angelique Kerber 2-0 at $2.4
