Euro 2020 Semi Finals, Tips & Previews, Tuesday 6th July

The BetDeluxe team previews the best bets from the Semi Finals of Euro 2020 - albeit a year late!

Euro 2020 Semi Finals are upon this.

The best bets for Italy versus Spain and England versus Denmark have been through-balled to the punters and now it’s time to bury them into the back of the net.

Italy vs. Spain

July 7th 5:00am

Two European heavyweights met when Italy clashes with Spain at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday morning.

Gli Azzurri will be looking to continue its incredible unbeaten run of 32 games against a Spanish side who needed penalties to overcome Switzerland in the quarter finals.

Roberto Mancini’s men were dealt a cruel blow in the 2-1 victory over Belgium last week with boisterous left back Leonardo Spinazzola going down with a torn achilles.

He will be replaced by Chelsea left back Emerson, while Spain look to recoup from two gruelling extra time knockout matches.

Pablo Sarabia will certainly miss the game for Spain with a calf strain as both teams lick their wounds from tough quarter finals.

The two nations last met back in 2017 with Spain thrashing Italy 3-0 but this was prior to Mancini taking over a guiding the Italians back up the world rankings.

Spain has only lost the one match to Italy in this last eight outings against Gli Azzurri with that hiccup being a 2-0 loss in the round of 16 during Euro 2016.

But this Italian team is like nothing we have seen before.

It has all the makings of the defensive fortitude that has become so accustom to Italian football with Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonnuci being the pillars in defence.

Alvaro Morata and Gerald Moreno will try to slip their way past the Italian wall but the momentum Italy has built in this tournament is irresistible.

Prediction: Italy 1 Spain 0

Suggested Bets:
Italy head to head at $2.45

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Correct Score – Italy 1-0
Leg 2: Ciro Immobile to score
Combined odds = $15

England vs. Denmark

July 8th 5:00am

England will never get a better to chance to take the first step towards bringing it home than when it faces Denmark at Wembley Stadium on Thursday morning.

It is a semi-final which represents a huge opportunity for England to impose its will after a 4-0 belting of Ukraine in the quarter-finals which saw Harry Kane notch up a brace.

But Denmark might just be playing for a higher cause.

Many thought the shock of Christian Eriksen going down would prove detrimental to this Danish squad but the Danes have proved otherwise.

A 2-1 win over Czech Republic ended the Czechs surprise run in the tournament but the task against England is the toughest Danish coach Kasper Hjulmand will face.

The fortress that is Wembley will have nearly 60,000 spectators chanting and willing on the Three Lions.

Gareth Southgate has a litany of riches to deploy on the pitch but it is expected the quarter-final starting XI will remain unchanged.

England have home ground advantage and the talent to boot.

It’s almost coming home!

Prediction: England 2 Denmark 0

Suggested Bets:
England head to head at $1.72

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: England head to head
Leg 2: Harry Kane to score anytime
Combined odds = $2.50
