Rosehill Tips and Previews, Saturday 3rd July

The Wizard of Odds has gone through the ten-race card at Rosehill.

A mammoth ten-race card at Rosehill greets us for Sydney metro racing this Saturday.

The Wizard of Odds has gone through each race to find the best bets across the program.

Rosehill race 1

#4 Sir Davy

Sir Davy draws a peach barrier for his debut run in Sydney.

He returned to racing at Flemington up the straight after a have little freshen up between runs.

He hit the line well late in the race after settling in the rear of the field.

The rise to 1300 metres into this race is perfect for him given his undefeated record at the distance range.

Has a nice turn of foot which he can utilise to full effect in this race.

Suggested Bet: Sir Davy win at $3.4

Rosehill Race 2

#3 Hellenism

Aiden St Vincent  looks to have placed this horse to perfection.

The five-year-old mare led-up the field in BM-72 company during the midweeks at Warwick Farm over 1200 metres and just faded away late in the race to run seventh.

That was on heavy track which she clearly does not have a liking to but she will get back on to a drying track here with the clear weather forecast for Sydney.

Tim Clark should be able to probe through on the rail to hold the lead and give a kick at the top of straight.

Expecting her to be much stronger late in the race than she was last start.

Suggested Bet: Hellenism win at $2.9

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 2 & 14

Rosehill race 3

#11 Sir Aglovale

Sir Aglovale is yet to have a run on his home track since arriving in Australia from New Zealand.

The Chris Waller-trained runner has plied his trade at the midweek meetings in order to build a base of fitness strong enough to measure up in Saturday grade.

He has had the run over 2400 metres which should have him peaking for this race.

Kerrin McEvoy takes the ride and he gets in on the minimum weight with 54kgs.

The only knock is the barrier and where he gets to in the run, but at the price he is hard to ignore.

Suggested Bet: Sir Aglovale each-way at $17 the win and $5 the place.

Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 5, 11/ 2, 5, 8, 11/ Field

Rosehill Race 5

#9 Our Bellagio Miss

Our Bellagio Miss was heavily backed upon resuming from a spell last start but could only muster up a fourth placed finish at Randwick in a BM-72 over 1000 metres.

That run should bring her on nicely this race and the key appointment of Tommy Berry should see another length or two worth improvement.

She has drawn a touch wide on the track but there does look to be a fair bit of speed engaged early in this race.

If Berry is positive from the barrier he should be able to slot her in on the pace with some cover as the field strings out.

Suggested bet: Our Bellagio Miss win at $3.90

Rosehill Race 6

#8 Canasta

Got the sharpie out and put a big fat circle around Canasta on the form guide as soon as the acceptances came through.

He is ready to run the best race of his preparation thus far after a brave runner-up finish at Rosehill last week.

Bjorn Baker has opted to race him on the quick back-up which shows how well the horse pulled up from the run.

Should be complete control of the lead and prove hard to run down.

Best of the day at Rosehill.

Suggested bet: Canasta win at $3.5
