Euro 2020 Quarter Finals, Tips & Previews, Saturday July 3rd

The BetDeluxe team previews the best bets from the Quarter Finals of Euro 2020 - albeit a year late!

Euro 2020 Quarter Finals are upon this.

The best bets for all four games are here and it all begins with Switzerland facing Spain on Saturday morning followed by Belgium and Italy.

Switzerland vs. Spain

July 3rd 2:00am

Switzerland will have to quickly hop down off cloud nine when it faces Spain for a spot in the Euro 2020 semi finals.

The Rossocrociati scored a dream penalty shootout win over 2018 World Cup champion France after playing out a 3-3 draw in 120 minutes.

How the Swiss manufactured their goals would have Luis Enrique on his toes for this clash.

After trailing 3-1 thanks to a magical Paul Pogba strike from outside the box, the Swiss hit back with two goals in the last 10 minutes of regular time to force an extra 30 minutes.

Yann Sommer would prove the hero in the shootout with his save of Kylian Mbappe’s penalty proving the match-winning moment.

Spain, meanwhile, needed 120 minutes to despatch Croatia from the tournament.

In an eerily similar game to Switzerland’s 3-3 draw after 90 minutes, Spain would conceded two goals in the last handful of minutes to be force into extra time.

But the class of the Spanish frontline shone through as Alvaro Morata and Mikel Oryazabel sealed the deal.

Spain should be able to end the dream run for Switzerland and book itself into yet another Euro Semi Final.

Prediction: Spain 2 Switzerland 1

Suggested Bets:
Spain head to head at $1.65

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Spain head to head
Leg 2: G. Moreno anytime goalscorer
Leg 3: Both teams to score (Yes)
Combined Odds = $5

Belgium vs. Italy

July 3rd 5:00am

Belgium will attempt to reach the Euro Semi Final when it faces Italy without Kevin DeBruyne and Eden Hazard.

Both star midfielders picked up injuries in the 1-0 Round of 16 victory over Portugal on Monday and will miss the Quarter Final, while Italy pulled through with a hard fought 2-1 extra time win over Austria.

The win for Gli Azzurri meant its unbeaten run extended to 31 matches – the most in the nation’s illustrious world football history.

Roberto Mancini activated a super sub duo of Federico Chiesa and Matteo Pessina who would both go on to to score crucial goals in extra time.

The Italians will also get back captain Giorgio Chiellini after he sat out the last three games nursing a leg injury.

The game looks perfectly set up for Italy to win given the nature of the omissions for Belgium.

Prediction: Belgium 0 Italy 1

Suggested Bets:
Italy head to head at $2.35

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Lorenzo Insigne to score anytime
Leg 2: Total goals scored under 1.5
Combined odds = $21

Czech Republic vs. Denmark

July 4th 2:00am

The surprise packet of the tournament Czech Republic meet the lucky third-placed qualifiers Denmark at Baku for quarter final action.

Patrik Schick has taken the tournament by storm with his 80th minute strike against Netherlands helping his nation progress to this quarter final with a 2-0 win over 10-man Netherlands.

The goal took Schick’s tally to four goals in the tournament thus far and if the Danes defensive structures are not sound, he will almost certainly certainly add to his already impressive record.

For Denmark, it has been an tournament of mixed emotions.

Christian Eriksen going down with a cardiac arrest threw the Danish camp into disarray but head coach Kasper Hjulmand has galvanised his men in the wake of adversity.

A Kasper Dolberg double ensured Denmark wiped the floor with Wales to progress through to the quarter finals with a thumping 4-0 victory.

This game is a genuine flip of the coin.

Predicting this one to need extra time and potentially penalties to provide an outcome.

Prediction: Czech Republic 1 Denmark 1

Suggested Bets:
Draw at $3.20

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Correct score 1-1
Leg 2: P. Shick anytime goalscorer
Combined odds = $10

Ukraine vs. England

July 4th 5:00am

It could very well be coming home!

England will attempt to make its first Euro semi final since 1996 when it meets Ukraine at Stadio Olimpico.

Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane sent Germany packing from the tournament with their two goals guiding the Three Lions to a 2-0 victory in front of a wild audience at Wembley Stadium.

Gareth Southgate’s men looked the better nation for the majority of the Round of 16 clash but now face the tricky task of overcoming a Ukraine squad led by Andriy Shevchenko.

The Ukrainians broke the hearts of Sweden with a 121st minute goal from Artem Dovbyk proving the difference in a 2-1 win.

Both nations have met each other on seven occasions prior to this much anticipated quarter final.

England hold sway having won four times but more recently Ukraine has managed to hold on for 1-1 and 0-0 draws in the previous two fixtures.

While England may have the big names on paper, this will not be an easy task by any stretch.

Prediction: England 1 Ukraine 0

Suggested Bets:
England head to head $1.40

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: England head to head
Leg 2: H. Kane anytime goal scorer

Leg 3: Total goals scored under 2.5
Combined odds = $4.75
