NBA Playoffs Tips & Previews, Thursday 17th June

Tips, Previews and all you need for Thursday's NBA playoff fixtures.

It was one bet for a win on Wednesday as we head into another set of NBA semifinals fixtures with a head full of steam.

76ers and Hawks go toe to toe, while the Jazz and Clippers resume hostilities with both series locked away at 2-2.

Atlanta @ Philadelphia

June 17th 9:30am

Philadelphia look to gain ascendancy in the Eastern Conference semifinal series against Atlanta at Wells Fargo Arena.

Atlanta levelled up at 2-2 on Tuesday with a 103-100 upset victory over the 76ers thanks to a shocking second-half capitulation from the visitors.

Joel Embiid was the embodiment of Phildaelphia’s shooting woes as the big man shot four from 20 on the field.

The Philadelphia centre still had big numbers with 17 points to go with 21 rebounds but the ailing knee injury he carried into the playoffs looked to cause impediment.

Trae Young was sore as well and nursed a shoulder niggle but he was at his prolific best hitting 25 points and dishing up 18 dimes in the three-point win.

The fadeout would be a cause for concern for 76ers coach Doc Rivers especially if Embiid’s injury continues to flare up.

Atlanta has proven its ability to match it with and defeat Philadelphia at Wells Fargo Arena after a big win in game one.

Suggested Bet: Atlanta Hawks +6.5 at $1.88

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Atlanta Hawks +6.5
Leg 2: T. Young over 28.5 points
Leg 3: T. Young over 7.5 assists
Leg 4: C. Capela over 9.5 rebounds
Combined odds = $4.33

Los Angeles Clippers @ Utah

June 17th 9:30am

Los Angeles takes the flight to Utah in preparation for game five of the Western Conference semifinals series against the Jazz.

With the series in the balance at 2-2, home court advantage has proven to be a Godsend for either team in this best of seven.

After Utah took a 2-0 lead courtesy of two narrow home victories, Los Angeles returned the favour with two lopsided victories at Staples Centre.

Kawhi Leonard looked to have hit his straps in game four as Paul George joined in on the party as well.

Both put up 31 points in the 118-104 win in game four and could very well be the difference on the road.

Donovan Mitchell might have something to say about that as he played a lone 37-point hand in the loss on Tuesday, but the Clippers look to have too much fire power.

Suggested Bet: Los Angeles Clippers +2.5 at $1.94

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Los Angeles Clippers +2.5
Leg 2: P. George over 25.5 points
Leg 3: R. Gobert over 11.5 rebounds
Combined odds = $5.75
