The BetDeluxe team previews the best bets from the group stage of Euro 2020 - albeit a year late!

The second half of opening fixtures for Euro 2020 grace us tonight as as Scotland clash with Czech Republic in Group D.

Group E fixtures also get underway with Poland meeting Slovakia, while Spain face off against Sweden.

The best bets for all three games are in!

Scotland vs. Czech Republic

June 14th 11:00pm

Scotland and Czech Republic will have the weight of their nations on their shoulders when they do battle at Hampden Park tonight.

The Tartan Army has gone undefeated through its last five international matches with the most recent being a 1-0 win over 10-man Luxembourg, while the Czechs have mixed their form.

After being slammed 4-0 against Italy in a friendly prior to Euro 2020 commencing, Jaroslav Silhavy guided his men to a 3-1 defeat of Albania on June 9 to hit the tournament with winning form.

Both teams possess very similar levels of talent with Kieran Tierney and Scott McTominay representing the Premier League expertise for Scotland, while West Ham United duo Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek and Burnley striker Matej Vydra are certainties to line up for Czech Republic.

The market is saying this game will be tough to split.

Both teams are capable of causing issues in the final third of either defence so anticipate a goal-scoring draw.

Prediction: Scotland 2 Czech Republic 2

Suggested Bets:
Draw at $2.90

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Draw
Leg 2: Total goals scored over 3.5
Combined odds = $10

Poland vs. Slovakia

June 15th 2:00am

The Robert Lewandowski led Poland open their account in Euro 2020 with a Group E clash against Slovakia.

Poland has not been in the greatest form heading into the tournament having only won one of its last eight international fixtures but still come up the well-fancied favourite in this match.

Paulo Sousa might be forgiven for the barren run given the opposition his squad has met include Italy, England and Netherlands, but Slovakia will prove a tough nut to track given its five-game undefeated streak.

Slovakia preceded its 0-0 draw against Austria and a 1-1 draw against Bulgaria with a 2-1 triumph of Russia the most recent World Cup qualifying fixture.

Centre back Milan Skriniar and winger Robert Mak were on target in the victory over Russia.

The pair are expected to part of the starting XI and, much like their team mates, will need to be at their best to stop Poland.

Despite its last win coming all the way back in March against Andorra, Poland should have the class to get the job done.

Prediction: Poland 1 Slovakia 0

Suggested Bets:
Poland head to head at $1.72
Robert Lewandowski anytime goalscorer at $1.80

spain vs. sweden

June 15th 5:00am

Spain commences its Euro 2020 at the Estadio de la Cartuja as the $1.33 favourite against Sweden in the second of the Group E fixtures overnight.

Luis Enrique would have been pleased with what he saw in Spain’s 4-0 friendly victory over Lithuania given the star talent that was missing.

Sweden, too, enter this group stage with buoyancy.

The Swedes have managed to tally up four wins in a row heading into Tuesday morning’s clash with Spain.

A 3-1 victory over Armenia should have the Swedish camp up and about but with a plethora of talent returning for Spain it’s hard to see how the three-time champion loses this.

Alvaro Morata and Gerard Moreno will attempt to plague the Swedish back four led by Manchester United centre back Eric Lindelof.

The odds suggest this will be a one sided affair but expect Sweden to push Enrique’s troops.

Prediction: Spain 1 Sweden 0

Suggested Bets:
Half-time/Full-time – Draw/Spain at $3.4
