NBA Playoffs Tips & Previews, Monday 14th June

Tips, Previews and all you need for Monday's NBA playoff fixtures.

We begin the week with a semi-final double header as the Bucks face the Nets followed by the Nuggets clashing with the Suns.

Best bets and previews for both games are in and the value looks to with an underdog.

Brooklyn @ Milwaukee

June 14th 5:00am

Milwaukee brace the home wooden surface of Fiserv Forum to face Brooklyn in a bid to level up in the best of seven Eastern semi-final series.

Both teams shot horrifically from field goal range with the Bucks holding on for an 86-83 victory after Kevin Durant missed a game-tying buzzer beater in game over the weekend.

Giannis Antetokounmpo lifted his output in front of the Milwaukee faithful after being well held in game two at the Barclays Arena.

“The Greek Freak” swished home 33 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the three-point triumph but it was Khris Middleton who stole the headlines.

Middleton hit 35 points and hauled in 15 rebounds for his best performance of the playoffs.

From a market perspective, not sure why the market has flipped after Milwaukee started favourite in game three.

James Harden playing in this game would justify Brooklyn being favourite but the value for Milwaukee looks fantastic given the star guard will miss again with that hamstring complaint.

Suggested Bet: Milwaukee Bucks +1.5 at $1.96

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Milwaukee Bucks head to head
Leg 2: K. Middleton over 22.5 points
Leg 3: Total points scored over 228.5
Combined odds = $5

Phoenix @ Denver

June 14th 10:00am

Phoenix rose to the occasion in game three to take what looks to be an unassailable series lead into game four against Denver at Ball Arena.

A triple-double from newly crowned NBA MVP Nikola Jokic was simply not enough to hold out Phoenix.

Jokic was gigantic with 32 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists but the Suns proved the superior outfit with a 116-102 win on Saturday as Devin Booker and Chris Paul combined like a steak and red wine.

Booker’s exuberant youth yielded 28 points, six rebounds and four assists, while Paul hit 27 points to go with his eight assists and six rebounds.

Denver has probably thrown its best punch at Phoenix this series yet still come up short.

The ugly record of no team coming back from a 3-0 deficit in NBA playoffs history is just another dampener on what has been a so far disappointing semi-final series.

Get those brooms out…

Suggested Bet: Phoenix Suns -3.5 at $1.92

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Phoenix Suns -3.5
Leg 2: D. Booker over 24.5 points
Leg 3: Total points scored under 222.5
Combined odds = $5
