NBA Playoffs Tips & Previews, Saturday 12th June

Tips, Previews and all you need for Saturday's NBA playoff fixtures.

The dangerous Atlanta Hawks take the court against Philadelphia, while Denver host Phoenix in the Mile High City.

Best bets for both semi-final fixtures have been alley-ooped to the punters and now it’s time to slam them home!

Philadelphia @ Atlanta

June 12th 9:30am

Atlanta bring home court advantage to State Farm Arena on Saturday morning when it takes on Philadelphia.

Trae Young showed the NBA what he is all about when he propelled the Hawks to a 1-0 series lead after dropping 35 points and 10 assists on the 76ers in a 128-124 victory.

But like all good teams do, the 76ers responded with an emphatic 118-102 win in game two to level up the series.

Joel Embiid showed no signs of that knee injury he suffered earlier in the season to crush the Hawks with 40 points and 13 rebounds, while Tobias Harris (22 points, six rebounds and four assists) and Seth Curry (21 points) chimed in to help.

The positive for the Hawks coming into this game was there ability to out-rebound the 76ers despite the dominance of Embiid.

12 offensive rebounds to six is a hustle stat that Nate McMillan would be pleased with but it is not about converting those opportunities in scoreboard pressure.

From a 76ers point of view, it must work on scoring cheap points on the road.

They only went at 63.6% from the free throw line in game two and will need to make every bucket count.

Suggested Bet: Atlanta Hawks +1.5 at $1.91

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Atlanta Hawks +1.5
Leg 2: T. Young over 29.5 points
Leg 3: Total points scored over 224.5
Combined odds = $5.5

Phoenix @ Denver

June 12th 12:00pm

Phoenix roll into Mile High City with a 2-0 series lead after easily accounting for Denver in the first two games at Phoenix Suns Arena.

The Suns followed up a 122-105 victory in game one with a 123-98 drubbing of the Nuggets in game two.

Devin Booker started his first ever playoff semi-finals in fine style but what impressed the most was the Suns ability to share the load.

The Nuggets had no answers for Booker, Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton and Mikal Bridges.

Nikola Jokic will be wanting to assert his dominance on the series after being well held in game two.

The newly crowned NBA MVP for 2020/21 has averaged 30.5 points, 10.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in the playoffs thus far.

Expect those stats to bare fruit on the floor of Ball Arena as the Nuggets respond at home.

Suggested Bet: Denver Nuggets -1.5 at $1.90

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Denver Nuggets -1.5
Leg 2: D. Jokic over 29.5 points
Leg 3: Total points scored under 222.5
Combined odds = $6.75
