NRL Round 13 Best of the Rest Tips & Previews

Check out the preview and best bets for the best of the rest in NRL Round 13.

Round 13 of the NRL season has arrived with a host of byes meaning we have three games to preview.

Our NRL team has gone through the selections for the best of the rest and it begins with St George taking on Brisbane.

St George Illawarra vs. Brisbane

June 4th 7:50pm

If St George Illawarra is fair dinkum about its top eight credentials then a win against the Brisbane Broncos tonight is a must.

The Dragons were humbled by Wests Tigers last week after conceding six tries in a 34-18 loss but now come up against a Brisbane team who sit second last.

Brisbane tried its heart out against Melbourne Storm in the 40-12 loss in Round 12 but was simply outclassed against the reigning premier.

St George has won the last four encounters against the Broncos with that record being intact since Round 1 of 2018.

This is the first time the Dragons have played the Broncos inside NSW since 2018 with the Dragons doing the business sat Suncorp Stadium three times in a row.

Suggested Bets: St George Illawarra -7.5 at $1.77

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: St George Illawarra 13+
Leg 2: C. Ramsey anytime try scorer
Leg 3: Total points scored over 45.5
Combined odds = $4.33

Melbourne vs. Gold Coast

June 5th 7:35pm

Nine wins a row and it does not look like stopping when the in-form Melbourne Storm take on the Gold Coast Titans.

Craig Bellamy has his side humming toward another premiership tilt, while the Gold Coast Titans, despite making a host of pre-season signings, have limped into 10th place.

State of Origin commitments and injury will have this Storm squad looking to find different avenues to the try line but it would be remiss if we thought that will be an issue.

Gold Coast has also lost a host of players to Origin duties too but its unpredictable erratic form of late, particularly the shock defeat to Cronulla last week , has coach Justin Holbrook much less well-equipped to cope.

In other words, Storm win this in a canter.

Suggested Bet: Melbourne Storm -22.5 at $1.94

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Melbourne Storm head to head (SGM SPECIAL)
Leg 2: Total point scored overr 50.5
Leg 3: N. Hynes anytime try scorer
Leg 4: P. Sami anytime try scorer

Combined odds = $6.25

Newcastle vs. Parramatta

June 6th 4:05pm

Newcastle head into its clash with Parramatta on the back of a morale-lifting upset victory over Manly in Round 12.

The Eels have swung the axe with veteran Blake Ferguson copping the brunt of the selection changes after a 38-20 loss to South Sydney last week.

The confidence Parramatta may take heading into this match is its three game winning streak the Knights.

Parramatta are clearly the more talent laden squad but the momentum gained by the Knights last week is hard to ignore.

Daniel Saifiti was sensational in the 18-10 win over the Sea Eagles with a try coming from 181 metres gained with ball in hand.

Eels have the class, but Knights have the momentum.

Suggested Bets: Newcastle Knights +10.5 at $1.90
