Saturday Greyhound Tips & Previews, 29th May

Tips and previews for Saturday night greyhound racing from The Meadows and Wentworth Park.

Saturday night greyhound racing from The Meadows and Wentworth Park.

The best bets are in after a fairly fruitful set of tips on Thursday night from Sandown.

The Meadows Race 1

#6 Target Master

It was a fantastic debut effort by Target Master at this course and distance 10 days ago.

After jumping from box one, he pinged through on the rail to lead throughout and bolted clear in the back straight.

He would career away to win by nearly 10 lengths and ran a sharp 30.27 which he should improve on again this time around.

He will derive a natural fitness benefit from that run and do not be surprised if we cracks the 30 second barrier.

Suggested Bet: Target Master win at $2.6

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 6, 7, 8

The Meadows Race 7

#7 Canya Cruise

Going against the short-priced favourite here and siding with Canya Cruise.

Providence Bale is obviously the one to beat but Canya Cruise has the miles in her legs over this distance range.

Expecting the favourite to stride to the lead but Canya Cruise should be the stronger dog late in the race.

He has a solid record from box seven with three wins and two minor placings from seven starts with the black rug.

Suggested Bet: Canya Cruise win at $3.8

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 1 & 7

The Meadows Race 10

#6 Master Avenger

Master Avenger is well and truly ready to get back into winning ways.

He is armed with very good early speed and with a empty box drawn to his immediate inside it should allow to stride clear without any hinderance.

His main threat is Namida but that dog is coming into this race off a 43-day break.

Master Avenger has the fitness edge and race hardness to get him over the line here and he looks the best of the program at The Meadows.

Suggested Bet: Master Avenger win at $3.4

Suggested Exotic: Exacta 6 & 4

Wentworth park race 5

#8 Zipping Moose

Zipping Moose showed brutal early speed in his brilliant all the way victory at Wentworth Park last start.

From box one, he darted to the front and registered a time of 29.78 in a fine display of chasing.

Even though he has not won from box eight in his career, doubt that will be a problem here given his brilliant early speed.

If he crosses easily and leads without issue, he could win by an absolute space.

Keep an eye on the clock!

Suggested Bet: Zipping Moose win at $3.1

Wentworth Park Race 8

#5 Ebby Jet Power

Ebby Jet Power win impressively well at Wentworth Park over the 520-metre circuit last start after showing a nice turn of pace in the middle stages of the race.

From box one, he tracked the leaders everywhere they went and powered home late in the race to finish over the top of them.

Drawing box five for this type of race might be a bit awkward but his record from yellow blanket reads well.

He has his seven starts for four wins and two minor placings and boasts the fastest personal best of any dog in this race.

Suggested Bet: Ebby Jet Power win at $3.6
