NBL Tips and Previews, Tuesday 25th May

Tips and Previews for some of the best upcoming NBL Action.

The best bets for midweek NBL action as we head into the playoffs.

The Breakers and 36ers play for pride as do the Taipans and Bullets.

Adelaide 36ers @ New Zealand Breakers

May 25th 5:30pm

With the season all but over for the New Zealand and Adelaide 36ers needing a miracle to make the playoffs, it’s now a battle for bragging rights between the two teams.

In what has been a tough year for the New Zealand Breakers, coach Dan Shamir has been left to manage what he describes as an exhausted squad.

The Breakers have never been able to really get together a purple patch of winning form this season and have stumbled into eighth place.

A game against the 36ers, however, represents a chance to end the season with some winning momentum given.

New Zealand managed to notch up a 93-77 win against Adelaide back on April 26.

That should be good enough to thwart a 36ers squad who fought tooth and nail against a Bryce Cotton-less Perth, only to come up eight points short.

Suggested Bets:
New Zealand Breakers -6.5 at $1.92
Total points scored under 175.5 at $1.87

Brisbane Bullets @ Cairns Taipans

May 26th 7:30pm

The Brisbane Bullets play Queensland rival Cairns in a bid to keep its very slim playoffs hopes alive.

After causing a big upset against Perth on May 19, the Bullets have since lost to SEM Phoenix and championship favourite Melbourne United.

That form line looks to stack up strongly against a Taipans mob who was belted by Perth and then accounted for by the Illawarra Hawks on Sunday.

What will also hold the Bullets in good stead is a 3-0 head to head record against the Taipans this year.

Brisbane has started favourite in every contest throughout the season and with Nathan Sobey continue his point scoring form with 20 points against United, it spells a win for the visitors.

Suggested Bet: Brisbane Bullets -6.5 at $1.91
