Saturday Racing Tips & Previews, Doomben & Flemington May 13th

All the Best Tips, Predictions and Form Analysis from BetDeluxe's Wizard of Odds for Doomben and Flemington

Group 1 racing from Doomben with the Doomben 10,000, while Flemington hosts the Andrew Ramsden over 2800 metres where the winner is guaranteed qualification for the 2021 Melbourne Cup.

All the best bets have landed and now it’s time find those winners.

Doomben Race 2

#3 Fabric

The old racing adage of ‘backing mares in form’ rings true here with Fabric.

She was an impressive last start winner at Morphettville when having to cope with a rise in distance from 1200 metres first-up to the mile at only her second run this preparation.

The Danny O’Brien-trained mare handled that set-up bravely and won by just under half a length.

Has a great base to run a really strong mile here and she can position herself in the lead or outside the lead.

Glen Boss takes the ride from Craig Williams who remains in South Australia.

Suggested Bet: Fabric win at $3.1

Suggested Exotic – Quinella 1 & 3

Doomben Race 4

#4 get stuck in

Get Stuck In was a very heavily backed $2.30 favourite in an 1815-metre race at Eagle Farm last start but failed to run a place.

Happy to forgive him for that effort and put trust into the market which suggested he would be winning or at least running very well in that race.

Apprentice jockey Leah Kliner is replaced with senior Group 1 winning jockey Ryan Maloney.

Expecting a sharp improvement from this horse given his return to Doomben which is a track he excels at.

He has had 11 starts at the circuit for four wins and two minor placings and has won and run second at his only two starts over 2000 metres.

Suggested Bet: Get Stuck In each-way at $9 the win and $3 the place.

Suggested Exotic – Boxed Trifecta 1, 3, 4

Doomben Race 7 - Doomben 10,000

#2 Eduardo & #1 Trekking

Eduardo comes up as this weekend’s BetDeluxe special.

He travels up to Queensland after being a beaten force behind Nature Strip and Masked Crusader in the TJ Smith and that form line looks very hard to top in this race.

Should be able to find the lead easily with demon front-running rider Nash Rawiller booked.

Trekking is also the other runner that peaks that interest in this race.

Was defeated as an odds-on commodity at Eagle Farm last start but he was first-up from a five-month spell.

That run will only bring him on from a fitness perspective and at worst he should be running top three here.

Suggested Bet:
Eduardo win (SPECIAL)
Trekking each-way at $7 the win and $2.15 the place.

Flemington Race 6 - The Andrew Ramsden

#6 Realm of flowers

Realm of Flowers continues to improve through each preparation she has had under the tutelage of Anthony & Sam Freedman.

Her fifth-placed finish in the Group 1 Sydney Cup over 3200 metres was good enough to suggest she will be winning a race like this.

She may creep up in the weights by six kilos but that is offset by a drop down in class and the booking of gun jockey Mark Zahra.

He just needs to be nice and positive from the barrier and not allow his mount to settle too far back.

Suggested Bet: Realm of Flowers win at $4

Flemington Race 9

#9 Vegas Knight

Vegas Knight continues to race well without winning.

That won’t deter us from backing him here though as he looks very well set-up to get into winning form.

He is a rock hard fit horse at the moment and the step down in distance from 2000 metres to 1600 metres as well as the advantage of racing in the lead will enhance his chances greatly.

We are again siding with Mark Zahra who is a jet at timing these front-running rides.

Hoping he put his foot down at around the 600-metre mark to make this a fast run mile in an attempt to take out of play the fast finishing swoopers.

Suggested Bet: Vegas Knight each-way at $12 the win and $3.8 the place.
