The best bets for another weekend of NBL action are in!

Perth Wildcats @ New Zealand Breakers

May 1st 5:30pm

The second-placed Perth Wildcats travel to the Silverdome to face the New Zealand Breakers on Saturday night in a bid to reel in league-leaders Melbourne United.

There might be some mental scars in the Wildcats’ camp from the last time it played the Breakers.

New Zealand proved too good back on April 18 with an upset 83-78 win as Levi Randolph led the charge with 23 points, four assists and four rebounds.

Randolph was well accompanied by Colin Iverson who hauled in 17 rebounds and scored 11 points in the five-point victory over the Wildcats.

Perth did bounce back after that loss with a comprehensive 92-74 win over the Brisbane Bullets and will now be seeking revenge on a Breakers side who have improved as the season has worn on.

Suggested Bet: New Zealand Breakers +5.5 point spread at $1.89

Brisbane Bullets @ Adelaide 36ers

May 1st 8:00pm

The Brisbane Bullets will attempt to sneak one game closer to fifth placed Illawarra when it ventures over to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre to do battle with the 36ers.

With three games in hand on most teams, the Bullets went about their business in style against SEM Phoenix on Thursday night.

The 92-84 win over the Phoenix was on the back of talented duo Nathan Sobey (20 points, eight assists and six rebounds) and Lamar Patterson (27 points, two assists and seven rebounds) causing all kinds of headaches for the Phoenix defence.

Meanwhile, the 36ers suffered their second consecutive loss following a 93-77 defeat to the New Zealand Breakers.

The 36ers struggled to maintain clean possession in the loss with 15 turnovers being the catalyst for the 16-point defeat.

The Bullets will be up and about for this contest given they accounted for the 36ers back in March.

The home-court advantage does bring Adelaide into this match but the value lies with the Bullets.

Suggested Bet: Brisbane Bullets head to head at $2.10

Sydney Kings @ Melbourne United

May 2nd 3:00pm

An eleven-game winning streak is on offer for league-leader Melbourne United when it faces the Sydney Kings at John Cain Arena on Sunday afternoon.

United made it 10 undefeated games in a row after sweeping aside the New Zealand Breakers on Wednesday with 90-76 victory.

Scotty Hopson proved to be one of the main scoring sources in the win with the American import adding a game-high 25 points.

The Kings, like United, are also on an undefeated run, albeit not to the heights reached by United.

Sydney has notched up four consecutive victories with the latest of those being a thrilling 79-75 overtime win against the Illawarra Hawks last weekend.

Adam Forde and his men will absolutely give themselves every hope to bring this United winning run to an end and they only have to back to March 19 to realise why.

The Kings were the last team to defeat United and did so with a 103-75 annihilation.

It’s clearly tough to tip against United at this stage of the season but the Kings’ point spread looks a nice bet.

Suggested Bet: Sydney Kings +4.5 at $1.90
