Time to bounce back!

Atlanta @ Philadelphia

April 29th 9:00am

It’s an Eastern Conference showdown when the Atlanta Hawks take on the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday morning.

Trae Young will miss another game for the Hawks as he continues to battle an ankle injury and in his absence suffered a 100-86 defeat against the lowly-ranked Detroit Pistons.

Philadelphia, meanwhile, surged back into winning ways by thrashing Oklahoma by 31 points on Monday.

The 76ers come into this game as the short-priced favourite but it’s the visitors who have the advantage in the three-game season series so far.

A 112-94 result in favour of the Hawks back in January highlighted the form it can show against highly talented opposition and it is that form which sees them sitting fifth in the East.

However, the relief for the 76ers is that Young will be absent from this contest after he did the damage in January with a 26-point outing during the 18-point win.

The point spread looks a bit overstated in this one.

Suggested Bet: Atlanta Hawks +7.5 point spread at $1.91

Los Angeles lakers @ washington

April 29th 9:30am

Los Angeles Lakers bring an end to its four-game road trip with visit to Capital One Arena when it faces the Washington Wizards.

The Lakers quashed a three-game losing streak with a 114-103 victory over the Orlando Magic as it improved its season record to 36-25.

Bradley Beal, meanwhile, did all he could in a bucket-for-bucket contest against the San Antonio Spurs.

Beal launched home 46 points in the 146-143 overtime loss but he now he faces stiff opposition in the form of the Lakers who have only conceded 106.9 points per game.

Even without Anthony David and LeBron James, the Lakers have manufactured a way to the basket as well keeping sturdy in defence.

But the Wizards will surely fancy their chances against a Lakers side it has already got the better of when James was fit.

Suggested Bet: Washington Wizards + 2.5 point spread at $1.91

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Washington Wizards +2.5
Leg 2: B. Beal over 29.5 points
Leg 3: R. Westbrook over 9.5 assists
Combined odds = $3.2

Los angeles clippers @ phoenix

April 29th 12:00pm

Two of the top three teams in the Western Conference square off when the Phoenix Suns host the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Clippers are coming off a 120-103 loss to New Orleans on Monday but had won 11 of the previous 12 games to nestles themselves on the tailcoats of the Suns.

Phoenix, who sit second in the West with a 43-18 record, is coming off a 118-110 triumph over the New York Knicks and in doing broke a two-game losing streak.

The head to head clearly favours Los Angeles.

The Clippers have defeated The Suns the last two times these teams have faced each other, including a 113-103 victory on April 8.

Paul George was it at his prolific best in the 10-point win leading his squad with a 33-point display while being supported by Kawhi Leonard who managed 27 points of his own.

Leonard, however, is in some doubt to get up for this match due to a foot injury and as such it represents a big opportunity for the Suns to extract some revenge.

Suggested Bet: Phoenix Suns -3.5 point spread at $1.92

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Phoenix Suns -3.5 point spread
Leg 2: D. Booker over 25.5 points
Leg 3: Total points scored over 222.5
Combined odds = $5

Utah @ sacramento

April 29th 12:30pm

The Western Conference-leading Utah Jazz hit the road to play the Sacramento Kings.

The Kings are 13-19 against Western Conference opponents and will attempt to improve that record by exploitng the Jazz defence in the paint.

A 53.2 point per game average in the paint will ensure the Jazz have to be at their best if they are to improve on their 44-17 record.

The teams meet for the second time this season with Utah winning the last matchup on April 10 courtesy of a 128-11 result.

Donovan Mitchell led Utah with 42 points but there is some concern over Donovan Mitchell who is all but certain to miss this match.

His influence on the Jazz’s season thus far cannot be undersold and the Kings look good value at the line here especially if Fox can get point-scoring ability going.

Suggested Bet: Sacramento Kings +8.5 point spread at $1.96
