Champions League Semi-Finals Preview & Bets, Wednesday 28th April

Champions League semi-finals previews and best bets between four European powerhouses.

Talk about European powerhouses.

Real Madrid versus Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain versus Manchester City.

It’s a set of semi-final fixtures the punters and fans will be salivating at as the best bets for both games are in!

Real Madrid vs. Chelsea

April 28th 5:00am

The battle of the big spenders takes places when the might and power of 13-time Champions League winner Real Madrid clashes with Chelsea.

In a gargantuan tie, with the only thing missing being the passionate faithful of the Madrid home fans, Zinedine Zidane’s men will look to create history.

No Real Madrid squad has ever conquered Chelsea, Los Blancos’ inability to defeat the Blues dating all the way back to 1971. That record is still in danger of being left intact when it faces a Chelsea squad who is up and about.

The visitors bring in solid enough form to Estadio Alfredo di Stefano following a 1-0 over West Ham in the Premier League, while Madrid played out a disappointing scoreless draw against Real Betis.

Madrid, in all likelihood, left a bit in the tank for this game and we expect a much better showing from them.

It’s the form against Liverpool in the quarter-finals which justifies Madrid’s tag as favourites in this game, having stamped their semi-final berth in the first leg with a 3-0 belting of the Reds.

But Madrid better have the boxing gloves ready as Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel dared and declared his squad to be brave and hungry.

If his quotes during his Champions League press conference are anything to go by, the Blues will not be sitting back.

Could be goals galore in this one if Chelsea do indeed follow Tuchel’s remarks by implementing an offensive style.

Prediction: Real Madrid 2 Chelsea 2

Suggested Bet: Draw at $3.10

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Over 3.5 goals
Leg 2: Both teams to score
Leg 3: K. Benzema to score anytime

Combined odds = $6

Paris Saint-Germain vs. Manchester City

April 29th 5:00am

If we though it was a battle of the hip pocket in the first semi-final, we’re set for big spender versus big spender 2.0 when French Champion Paris Saint-Germain welcome Manchester City to Parc Des Princes.

Pep Guardiola has all but sewn up another league title with the Citizens after a 2-1 win over Aston Villa and hauled in another piece of silverware thanks to a 1-0 win over Tottenham in the Carabao Cup final.

Now, the focus goes onto bringing up a maiden Champions League final berth for City but it must first get through a PSG team that got its revenge on Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals.

Kylian Mbappe has been nothing short of miraculous in this Champions League campaign as he attempts to stake his claim as one of, if not, the best player in world football.

He rocketed up the goalscoring charts with a brace in the first leg of the 3-3 aggregate win of the 2020 champion Bayern Munich.

The french attacker has now scored eight times and will again be the offensive foundation for PSG.

He will, however, come up against a City back-half consisting of world class centreback pairing John Stones and Ruben Dias as well as full back Kyle Walker.

A game for the ages… no doubt.

Sit back, get the morning coffee out with some biscuits and watch these teams go to work.

Prediction: Paris Saint-Germain 2 Manchester City 1

Suggested Bet: Paris Saint-Germain head to head at $3.10

Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: PSG head to head
Leg 2: K. Mbappe to score anytime
Leg 3: Both teams to score

Combined odds = $5.75
