Greyhound Racing Tips

Saturday Night Greyhound Tips & Previews, 23rd April

Tips and previews for greyhound racing at The Meadows and Wentworth Park.

Greyhound racing and Saturday night go hand in hand.

The bets bets from The Meadows and Wentworth Park are in as we prepare for a big weekend of racing and sports.

Time to chase home those winners!

The Meadows Race 2

#1 Lawful Man

It’s a match-race in two between Lawful Man and Ozark Bale but we’re siding with the Kristie Collyer-trained Lawful Man.

He owns a quick 30.14 personal best over the 525 metres at The Meadows and jumping from the inside box should ensure he gets the saloon passage through.

Our pick seems to have a fitness edge over Ozark Bale who is 17-days between runs whereas Lawful Man is racing immediately after his third-placed finish from box seven at this course and distance last week.

A repeat of his 30.14 run back on March 31 would see him win this easily.

Suggested Bet: Lawful Man win at $3

Suggested Exotic: Exacta 1 & 8

The Meadows Race 8

#7 Qwara Bale

Equalizer is clearly the dog to beat in this race but Qwara Bale may just possess the talent to do so.

The Andrea Daily-trained chaser is unbeaten in her two starts from box seven which is the draw she gets in this race.

She holds fort to a 29.92 win over The Meadows 525-metre circuit.

That win came on March 19 and while it was slightly inferior to the white 29.74 win by Equalizer at this track and distance last start, the race shape for our selection looks superior.

Equalizer has never won from box five and if Qwara Bale is able to gather her stride up from the wide box, she should be able to cross and put a winning gap on the favourite early in the race.

Suggested Bet: Qwara Bale win at $5

Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 7/ 5/ Field

The Meadows Race 12

#1 South Song

We might have to wait a little while for our best of the night but it will be worth it.

Andrea Daily has this two-year-old dog ready to win on the quick-back up.

Last weekend, South Song scorched The Meadows track to run a hot 30.30 over 525 metres and has since had a nice tick over run at Ballarat on Wednesday to keep him on the job for this race.

He only finished midfield as a $2.6 elect in a race that looked to be a ‘fitness run’ over 450 metres against sharper dogs compared to the rivals he faces tonight.

Just needs to hold his spot from box one and he will be winning this race.

Suggested Bet: South Song win at $3.3

Wentworth Park Race 2

#4 Coast Model

Tipping Coast Model to defeat the odds-on pop Zipping Stewie in this 520-metre event at Wentworth Park.

Even though Zipping Stewie has won his last five starts, Coast Model looks the way to go here at a nicer price and a big factor in her favour; she loves racing from box four.

Coast Model’s record when donning the blue rug is an unblemished four starts for four wins.

She also possesses a quicker personal best over this track and distance (29.62) when compared to Zipping Stewie (29.85).

If Coast Model can get an unimpeded run and find the front early without too much hassle, she can seriously trouble this favourite.

Suggested Bet: Coast Model win at $4.6

Suggested Exotic: – Quinella 2 & 4

Wentworth Park race 4

#2 Roman Remiss

Roman Remiss returns to the scene of the crime after running in a very sharp 24.76 Maitland Cup heat where he finished third with a time of 25.06.

It was only three starts ago when he posted win number 17 in his 36-start career and that was from box two over the 520-metre circuit of this track.

He draws the exact same box as he did that night on March 13 when breaking his personal best time with a rocket-propelled 29.52 victory.

A repeat of that effort will see this lot chasing his tail rather than the bunny.

There is no pace drawn inside of him which means he can rail up and take the shortest way home.

Suggested Bet: Roman Remiss win at $4.2

Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 1, 7/ 1, 7, 8/ 1, 4, 7, 8
