NBA Tips and Previews, Thursday 22nd April

Tips, Previews and all you need ahead of Thursday's NBA action

An enormous number of fixtures bestow the NBA on Thursday with 12 matches scheduled across the calendar.

We’ve gone through each game and circled the best fixtures to bet into come tomorrow morning with the highlight game coming when Philadelphia clashes with Phoenix!

Phoenix @ Philadelphia

April 22nd 9:00am

We are set for an absolute treat when the Philadelphia 76ers host the Phoenix Suns at Wells Fargo Arena.

With the 76ers sitting atop of the Eastern Conference and the Suns rising to second in the Western Conference, it makes for a potential early finals rehearsal.

This match shapes as the second time these two have met this season with the Suns taking the victory at home with a 120-111 triumph.

The Suns will be optimistic about their travelling fortunes having won 18 of its 25 road trips this season, but the 76ers have made Wells Fargo Arena a fortress winning on 22 occasions out of a possible 28.

Ben Simmons lead-up into this match will be of great interest with the gun Australian a glaring omission in the in 107-96 loss against the Golden State Warriors.

If he plays, we will side with the 76ers, if not, the Suns are the way to go.

Suggested Bet:

– Philadelphia 76ers head to head at $1.95 (if Ben Simmons plays)

– Phoenix Suns head to head at $1.87 (if Simmons does not play)

Minnesota @ Sacramento

April 22nd 12:00pm

Two teams struggling will square off for the second time in as many days when the Minnesota Timberwolves take on the Sacramento Kings on Thursday.

It was the Timberwolves who got the better of the Kings with a 134-120 victory with D’Angelo Russell, Karl- Anthony Towns and Anthont Edwards putting on a clinic.

A look back the form prior to this double-header between the teams, it was Minnesota who lost to the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, 124-105, which marked their 12th loss in their last 18 games.

Meanwhile, Sacramento defeated Dallas with a 121-107 victory and in doing so snapped a nine-game losing streak.

Timberwolves can repeat the feats of last night in this game but expect the home team to bounce back very, very strongly after a disappointing result.

Suggested Bet: Sacramento Kings head to head at $1.48

Golden State @ Washington

April 22nd 9:00am

The Steph Curry show rolls into Washington on Thursday when the Golden State Warriors face the Washington Wizards.

Curry has arguably had the best patch of form in his career over the last fortnight with the champion point guard managing to score at 41.3 points per game in his last ten fixtures.

A 49-point display in the 106-97 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday saw Curry catapul himself into the NBA leading point scorer this year with a 31.4 point per game average.

Washington will need to be at its absolute best if it is any chance of stopping the most in form player of the league.

The Wizards, who are on a mini tear themselves, are more than capable of putting a halt to this brilliant Warriors run having already accounted for them back on April 10.

An enthralling contest ensues in a must watch match.

Suggested Bet: Washington Wizards +2.5 point spread at $1.95

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Washington Wizards +1.5
Leg 2: B. Beal over 27.5 points
Leg 3: R. Westbrook over 9.5 assists
Combined odds = $3.4

denver @ portland

April 22nd 12:00pm

The Portland Trail Blazers focus their attention to the Denver Nuggets on Thursday after nearly causing a magical upset against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Without Damian Lillard, it was C.J McCollum (28 points, five assists and five rebounds) and Norman Powell (23 points and three assists) who went to work for the Trail Blazers who were left agonisingly short in the 113-112 loss.

It does not get any easier against the Denver Nuggets whose 17-10 travelling record has guided them to a 37-20 overall tally this season.

Nikola Jokic will again prove a handful as he did last time they did battle.

The Serbian centre posted 41 points in a 111-106 win and has nearly averaged a triple-double this season going for 26.4 points per game, 11.1 rebounds per game and 8.8 assists.

Suggested Bet: Denver Nuggets -1.5 point spread at $1.90
