Tips, Previews and all you need ahead of Tuesday's NBA action

The BetDeluxe team launches into the Tuesday NBA fixtures from the USA with selections coming across some huge games featuring the biggest names in the league.

Will Steph Curry continue his fortnight of dominance? Will the Lakers repeat the dose against Utah?

All that and more!

Cleveland @ Detroit

April 20th 9:00am

The doldrums of the NBA Eastern Conference come to life on Tuesday when the 13th-placed Cleveland Cavaliers face the last-placed Detroit Pistons.

It’s been a much better run of it in the last 10 fixtures for the Pistons having registered a 4-6 win-loss record in that time frame.

However, the Pistons most recent match did their knockers no harm as they went down 121-100 to the Washington Wizards.

The Cavaliers fared no better on Sunday going down 106-96 to the Chicago Bulls.

The positive for the Cavaliers is their 2-0 season series lead over the Pistons having recorded a 128-119 double overtime and 122-107 victories earlier this year.

This is going to be another tight one.

Suggested Bet: Detroit Pistons point spread +2.5 at $1.88

Suggested Bet:
Leg 1: Detroit Pistons point spread +2.5
Leg 2: C. Sexton over 24.5 points
Leg 3: Total points scored over 212.5
Combined odds = $6

Golden State @ Philadelphia

April 19th 9:30am

Without a doubt the game of the day when the on fire Steph Curry travels with the Golden State Warriors to face the Eastern leaders Philadelphia.

Curry has been an absolute tear in the last week guiding the Warriors to four wins in a row before a 119-114 loss to the Boston Celtics on Sunday.

The star point guard has averaged 39.9 points in his last nine outings and is the soul reason the 76ers cannot take this fixture lightly.

Philadelphia has proven itself a worthy finals contender this season having defeated the Los Angeles Clippers and Brooklyn Nets in its most recent fixtures.

The 76ers do boast a 10-point 108-98 win over the Warriors dating back to March 24th, the caveat being Curry was on the sidelines for that game.

Market seems to have undersold his inclusion.

Suggested Bet: Golden State Warriors +8.5 at $1.84

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: J. Embiid 10.5+ Rebounds
Leg 2. J. Embiid 31.5 + Points
Leg 3. Warriors +5.5
Combined Odds: $4

Houston @ Miami

April 20th 10:00am

Miami continues its homestay at the AmericanAirlines Centre when clashes with the Houston Rockets.

The Heat reversed a three-game losing streak with a brilliant 109-107 win over the Brooklyn Nets, while the Rockets completed a form reversal of its own thanks to a 114-110 triumph against the Orlando Magic.

A 101-94 result in favour of the Heat was the outcome when it met the Rockets for the first time this year with Jimmy Butler tallying a double-double worth 27 points and 10 rebounds.

It’s not only the danger Butler presents on the court but the brute power of centre Bam Adebayo that the Rockets will have to worry about.

Adebayo sunk 21 points and hauled in 15 rebounds in the two-point win over the Nets.

Expecting another big result for the Heat as it pushes for another finals berth this season.

Suggested Bet: Miami Heat -9.5 point spread at $1.86

Phoenix @ Milwaukee

April 14th 11:00am

If the NBA and it’s fraternity wasn’t focusing it’s attention on the Steph Curry show then this match between the Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks up would take all the headlines.

The Suns – ranked second in the West – have looked all over a genuine finals threat this season having tallied up a 40-16 overall record coming into match, while the Bucks’ 35-12 record sees them sitting third in the East.

Giannis Antetokounmpo seems to have shaken off a knee issue that plagued him earlier this month but was unable to extend the Bucks’ three-game winning streak as his 28 points and 11 rebounds were not enough to overcome the Memphis Grizzlies.

A 111-85 loss against the Spurs on Sunday was arguably the worst performance the Suns have showcased this year and no doubt a big response against a star studded line-up will be on the cards.

However, the home advantage for the Bucks and the Giannis factor might be too much for the Suns to deal with.

Suggested Bet: Milwaukee Bucks -2.5 point spread at $1.91

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Milwaukee Bucks -2.5 point spread
Leg 2: Total point scored under 234.5
Leg 3: C. Paul 7+ assists
Combined odds = $5.25

Utah @ Los Angeles Lakers

April 20th 12:00pm

Los Angeles Lakers will attempt to make it back-to-back wins against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday after a 17-5 overtime scoring run saw it prevail 127-115.

The Lakers coughed up a 12-point three quarter time lead but Denis Schroder (25 points) came to the rescue to send the game into fifth stanza.

Donovan Mitchell missed for the Jazz and will be out for this one again with an ankle sprain. His 26.4 point per game average will again be sorely missed.

The Jazz have been dominant in the West this season but could still not overcome a Lakers team without LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Utah, despite having an impressive 41-15 record, have struggled on the road recently and another loss at the Staples Centre would make it a four-game slide as the visitor.

No reason the Lakers cannot make this another tight contest.

Suggested Bet: Los Angeles Lakers +5.5 point spread at $1.91
