Super Rugby Week 9 Tips and Previews, Saturday April 17th

BetDeluxe.Tips breaks down week nine action of the Super Rugby Season

Two games worth of best bet and selections to round out the Super Rugby weekend when the NSW Waratahs face the Western Force and Melbourne Rebels met with the ACT Brumbies.

Great value to be found in both games!

Western Force vs. NSW Waratahs

April 17th 7:45pm

The New South Wales Waratahs will attempt to regain some pride went it faces the Western Force on Saturday night.

It’s been a tumultuous year for the Waratahs having gone winless through its six games to date and sacking their coach in the process.

Co-coaches Chris Whittaker and Jason Gilmore have their squad playing more competitive rugby and came within a whisker of knocking off the ACT Brumbies a fortnight ago.

The Waratahs took it up to the second-placed Brumbies but would ultimately succumb to a 24-22 loss.

The Western Force also come off a tight game, but unlike the Waratahs, they got the victory with a 16-15 triumph over the Melbourne Rebels.

Predicting this will be a game that has less than a converted try in it.

Waratahs at the line looks the way to play.

Suggested Bet: NSW Waratahs +6.5 at $1.89

Melbourne Rebels vs. ACT Brumbies

April 18th 2:00pm

The second-placed ACT Brumbies visit the Melbourne Rebels at AAMI Park on Sunday as it prepares for its run at the finals.

The Brumbies were left with their heads in their hands after losing a nail-biter to the Queensland Reds last week thanks to a James O’Connor penalty with three minutes left on the clock.

It was a gut-wrenching blow for the Brumbies who, had it won the match, would have left itself with a chance to top the Super Rugby ladder.

But now the focus turn to the Melbourne Rebels who, like the Brumbies, were left to rue a close loss last week.

The 16-15 loss against the Western Force leaves the Rebels now only a point in front of last week’s opponent.

There is a sense of optimism about the home side this week having taken it right up to the Brumbies in Canberra earlier this year.

It took a 55-metre injury time kick from Ryan Lonergan to seal a 27-24 victory for the Brumbies, but a game AAMI Park is advantage Rebels.

An upset looms, but we will go with the safer option.

Suggested Bet: Melbourne Rebels +5.5 at $2
