We head into the weekend with a host of NBL fixtures providing us with plenty of value.
The best best for another weekend of NBL action are in.
Brisbane Bullets @ New Zealand Breakers
April 16th 7:30pm
The New Zealand Breakers host the Brisbane Bullets at their home away from home at the Silverdome tonight.
The Breakers are looking to put a halt to a three-game slide after being beaten in overtime by the Perth Wildcats.
It was a brave effort by the Breakers who struggled to gain any genuine momentum this year but they do have a handful of games up their sleeve on the rest of league.
The Bullets, too, are seeking to get back into winning ways after being well handled by premiership favourite Melbourne United on Monday.
Nathan Sobey continued his prolific point-scoring season by posting 30 points in the 98-89 loss.
Suggested Bet: NZ Breakers -1.5 point spread at $1.85
Illawarra Hawks @ Perth Wildcats
april 16th 9:30pm
The second-placed Perth Wildcats play host to the in-form fourth-placed Illawarra Hawks from the RAC Arena tonight.
In what shapes as one of the games of the round, the Hawks have managed to notch consecutive victories heading into this road trip to Perth with identical 82-80 victories over both the SEM Phoenix and Cairns Taipans.
The Wildcats, meanwhile, had to syphon petrol out of the reserve tank in its overtime 85-79 victory over a plucky New Zealand Breakers outfit.
Perth was out of form against the Adelaide 36ers prior to win the against the Breakers and did not look anywhere near their best on Tuesday, but as good teams do, they win ugly when they need to.
Could be a similar situation here. Wildcats win, but not by much.
Suggested Bet: Illawarra Hawks +6.5 point spread at $1.91
Adelaide 36ers @ SEM Phoenix
April 17th 5:30pm
South East Melbourne Phoenix welcome the visiting Adelaide 36ers to John Cain Arena on Saturday night.
The Phoenix sit poised in third-place of the NBL table but is still a handful of wins away from the top two after dropping its bundle in a 97-90 loss against the Sydney Kings on Thursday night.
Izayah Mauriohooho-Le’afa punched home 29 points in the seven-point defeat and his form will need to be relied upon again if it wishes to defeat a 36ers team who will be itching to get back onto the court after a disappointing loss the Cairns Taipans on Wednesday.
The 36ers showed what they are capable of by scoring an upset 83-68 win over the Perth Wildcats, but failed to back it up by going down 91-88 against the Taipans.
If it can get back the form it showed last Saturday against Perth, then they are a genuine chance of knocking off the Phoenix.
However, the home side has a heap of firepower in can rely upon should things get desperate.
Suggested Bet: SEM Phoenix -4.5 point spread at $1.91
