NBL Tips and Previews, Monday 12th April

Tips and Previews for some of the best upcoming NBL Action

A great way to start the week with a Monday night clash between league leader Melbourne United and the Brisbane Bullets, while its the 2020 champions the Perth Wildcats in action against the New Zealand Breakers.

We’ve alley ooped the best bets to the punters and its time to fill up those betting accounts.

Brisbane Bullets @ Melbourne United

April 12th 7:30pm

Newly placed league leader Melbourne United attempt to hold fort atop of the NBL table when it hosts in the Brisbane Bullets at John Cain Arena tonight.

After an 84-78 win over the New Zealand, United gained top spot with the caveat of having played an extra over the second-placed Perth Wildcats.

Meanwhile, the Bullets evened their season ledger at 10 wins and 10 losses following an impressive 88-82 triumph over the Illawarra Dragons.

Brisbane will look towards Nathan Sobey to provide a scoring outlet.

An offensive marksman for the Bullets, Sobey is averaging 22.9 points per game which ranks him second in the league this season.

Should be a win to the home team and the point spread is the way to go.

Suggested Bet: Melbourne United -6.5 line at $1.90

New Zealand Breakers @ Perth Wildcats

april 13th 7:30pm

A return to winning form will be the sole agenda for the Perth Wildcats when it faces the New Zealand Breakers at the Silverdome on Monday night.

The Wildcats suffered a shock loss to the Adelaide 36ers on Saturday and in doing so relinquished its place at the top of the NBL table.

A lacklustre effort from the 2020 champions saw them fall to an 83-68 defeat and is now tasked with the of defeating the New Zealand Breakers who, despite not winning, are playing competitive basketball.

Consecutive defeats to both Melbourne United and SEM Phoenix see the Breakers slump to a 5-13 overall record but it did run both teams to within a whisker.

The first-placed Melbourne United and the third-placed Phoenix had to dig deep in the final quarter of their respective fixtures to defeat a spirited, albeit ultimately defeated, Breakers squad.

With the Breakers clearly playing for pride now and the Wildcats looking a genuine championship threat again, it would be uncharacteristic if the champions dropped another game.

Look for veteran Bryce Cotton to lift his game to another level after only managing 10 points in the 15-point loss to the 36ers.

Suggested Bet: Perth Wildcats head to head at $1.54
