Western Sydney Wanderers vs. Central Coast Mariners

April 6th 7:05pm

League leaders Central Coast make the trip to Bankwest Stadium when it butts heads with the Western Sydney Wanderers.

The Mariners continue to defy all the odds this season after a 2-1 win in Gosford over Adelaide United ensured it held fort atop of the A-League for another week.

Alou Kuol scored a 76th minunte winner against the Reds after Oliver Bozanic’s 72nd minute strike cancelled out the go-ahead goal for Reds striker Kusini Yengi.

The Wanderers, however, were held to a 1-1 stalemate against Brisbane Roar thanks to a Riku Danzaki finish.

Despite dropping points against a Roar team who have struggled to garner winning momentum since the early stages of the season, the Wanderers take confidence into this game knowing they notched up a 1-0 over the Mariners in the first fixture between the sides this season.

That win was in front of the blow up sauce bottles at Central Coast Stadium and now the Wanderers get the home advantage in their favor.

Prediction: Western Sydney Wanderers 2 Central Coast Mariners 1

Suggested Bet: Western Sydney Wanderers head to head at $2.25

Sydney FC vs. Perth Glory

April 7th 7:05pm

Fresh off an imposing 3-0 victory against a 10-men Melbourne Victory, the Sky Blues of Sydney FC return to Netsrata Jubilee Stadium for a Matchweek 15 fixture against the travelling Perth Glory.

Steve Corica’s men had ‘The Big Blue’ handed to them on a platter after Elvis Kasamboa was showns a second yellow.

Bobo scored just prior to the first break and it was then left to former Victory forward Kosta Barbarouses and Alexander Baumjohann to deliver three points Sydney’s way.

The form for Perth Glory is looking quite grim at the moment after a 2-1 over embattled Newcastle was followed up by a disappointing 2-0 loss to Macarthur FC.

The defeat saw the Glory plummet down to ninth on the table and it will need a big lift out of Bruno Fornaroli and Diego Castro if it stands any chance of pinching a result.

Sydney do look under the odds in this one given how well the game set up against the worst team in the league in Melbourne Victory.

A home crowd advantage is a positive but the draw looks a good proposition in this one.

Prediction: Sydney FC 1 Perth Glory 1

Suggested Bet: Draw at $3.9

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Draw head to head
Leg 2: Both teams to score
Leg 3: Bobo to score anytime
Combined odds = $8.5

Macarthur FC vs. Brisbane Roar

April 9th 7:05pm

Third-placed Macarthur FC host the Brisbane Roar at Campbelltown Stadium on Friday night in a bid to make it four wins in a row.

In what is the club’s inaugural A-League campaign, the Bulls have continued to impress with striker Matt Derbyshire leading the way.

Derbyshire has now tallied up 10 goals this season thanks to a brace in the 2-0 win against Perth Glory last Friday.

For Brisbane, it has been a tale of disappointment since starting the season off so brightly.

The Roar had to settle for a 1-1 draw against the Western Sydney Wanderers and it meant their winless run was extended to five games.

With 5 points separating the Roar from the last finals spot currently occupied by Sydney, it’s a must win game for Warren Moon.

Macarthur will be cock-a-hoot about their chances to knick off the Roar given it has already done so this season.

A 2-0 triumph on February 9 at Moreton Daily Stadium thanks to a 76th minute goal from Denis Genreau and the sealer at the death from Derbyshire.

Not sure how the result of that game changes in this one given the form of the Bulls.

Prediction: Macarthur FC 1 Perth Glory 0

Suggested Bet: Macarthur FC head to head at $2.10
