NBA Tips and Previews, Tuesday 30th March

Tips, Previews and all you need ahead of Tuesday's NBA action

The Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers headline another exciting day of NBA previews and best bets.

Heavy hitters the Brooklyn Nets also take the court in what is set to be a brilliant set of fixtures across our four selected games today.

New Orleans @ Boston

March 30th 10:30am

Zion Williamson and his New Orleans Pelicans saddle up their gear to face the Boston Celtics at TD Garden on Tuesday morning in a cross-conference clash.

Having already played each other once this season, it was the Pelicans who prevailed with an enthralling 120-115 victory.

Williamson continued his meteoric rise in only his second season with a 28-point, 10-rebound and 4-assist display in the five-point win, while Brandon Ingram buried 33 points.

Both teams fortunes since that game have been fairly similar with the Pelicans sitting 20-25 and needing a huge second half of the season to make playoffs, while the Celtics are on the cusp with an even 23-23 win-loss ledger.

The Celtics will continue to call upon the form of Jayson Tatum who has managed 25.1 points per game this season as well as 4.4 assists.

Both teams bring in winning form to this clash with the Celtics outlasting Oklahoma City on Sunday after a brilliant upset victory against the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Pelicans come off a grinding 112-103 win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Predicting this will be a win to the Celtics given the home court advantage as well as the form of Tatum.

Suggested Bet: Boston Celtics to cover the -2.5 point spread at $1.91

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Boston Celtics to cover the -2.5 point spread
Leg 2: B. Ingram over 21.5 points
Leg 3:  J. Tatum over 24.5 points
Combined odds = $4.6

Minnesota @ Brooklyn

March 30th 10:30am

The situation goes from bad to worse the Minnesota Timberwolves when it travels to the Barclays Centre ahead of their clash against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday.

Having only won 11 games through 46 fixtures this season, the Timberwolves are now faced with the monumental task of gaining back its lost pride against a Nets team who looked destined for glory this season.

Despite the slight turn around in form for the Timberwolves which has seen it win four out of its last 10 games, the fixture against the Nets is made all the more difficult with LeMarcus Aldridge signing the dotted lines to become part of Steve Nash’s push towards the finals.

There is some reprieve for the Timberwolves as they will not have to face Kevin Durant who is still on the comeback trail from a hamstring injury which has plagued his 2020/21 season.

The Nets look likely to get back star guard Kyrie Irving and that will only bolster their chances of a big win at home.

This game is just a case of how far…

Suggested Bet: Brooklyn Nets to cover the -10.5 point spread at $1.91

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Brooklyn Nets to cover the -10.5 point spread
Leg 2: J. Harden over 29.5 Points
Leg 3: Total Points over 234.5
Combined Odds = $4.75

Miami @ New York

March 30th 10:30am

The New York Knicks will host the Miami Heat on Tuesday morning.

These two teams have played twice so far this season, with Miami winning both times.

The Heat took the first matchup 109-103 on February 8 and the backed it up with a 98-96 victory two days later.

The New York Knicks are 24-22 overall, fourth in the Eastern Conference, and the Heat are eighth in the conference with a 22-24 overall record.

The Miami Heat’s 2020-21 campaign has been an up-and-down season of streaks.

After struggling out the gate, the Miami Heat began to turn things around on February 19 and put together an impressive run with wins in 11 out of 12 games thru March 16.

On Saturday, Miami lost its sixth straight game after falling behind 23 points at half-time.

Meanwhile, The Knicks’ season has been underpinned by  defence.

They rank first in the NBA, holding opponents to only 104.7 8 ppg, 44.3% shooting, and 33.6% from three-point range.

On offence, the Knicks are 28th averaging 105.3 ppg and 45.1% from the field, which is 22nd. Julius Randle leads the team with 23 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists, followed by RJ Barrett with 17.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.

Randle is in some doubt for this game with a right thigh issue, but if he is cleared fit to play then the Knicks look the value here.

Suggested Bet: New York Knicks head to head $2.45

LA Clippers @ Milwaukee

March 30th 1:00pm

The Los Angeles Clippers will be looking for their sixth straight victory when they take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday.

The Clippers are coming off a fifth straight victory following a 122-112 victory over Philadelphia and the win meant it has now won each of these games by at least nine points.

Meanwhile, Milwaukee’s eight game winning streak has been halted after losing its second game in a row when falling to New York on Sunday, 102-96.

‘The Greek Freak’ Giannis Antetokounmpo was held back from playing against the Knicks due to a knee sprain which also has him in doubt for this clash.

Giannis’ brother Thanasi Antetokounmpo battled bravely with 23 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in the loss against the Knicks and he will need to called upon again if the Bucks have any chance of quelling the rampaging Clippers.

Another tough game to get a gauge on due to the unknown of Giannis playing or not.

If he does play be quick to snap up the $2.17 on offer for the Bucks, but if he does not, then stick the with Clippers.

Suggested Bet:

Milwaukee Bucks head to head at $2.17 (If Giannis plays)

Los Angeles Clippers to cover the -2.5 point spread at $1.93 (If Giannis does not play)
