NBA Tips and Previews, Saturday 27th March

Tips, Previews and all you need ahead of Saturday's NBA action

Our experts break down all the action ahead of another cracking weekend of NBA action.

Let’s score some bets!

Portland @ Orlando

march 27th 11:00am

The Orlando Magic will host the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night. Orlando is 15-29 overall, 10-14 at home, and 14th in the Eastern Conference.

The Portland Trail Blazers are sixth in the Western Conference, 25-18 overall and 11-9 on the road. These two teams played last month on February 9, and Portland won 106-97 as a six-point home favorite.

The Trail Blazers have currently won the last eight head-to-head meetings in this series, with the Magic’s last win on January 13, 2017.

Orlando was already the second lowest-scoring team in the NBA and the worst shooting team in the NBA, and they just traded away three of their top four scorers. Terrence Ross, who would now be the team’s top leading score with 16 ppg, and Cole Anthony, who would be the team’s second-leading scorer averaging 11 ppg, are both out indefinitely with injuries.

This should be another victory to the Trail Blazers over the Magic.

Suggested Bet: Portland Trail Blazers to cover the -10.5 line at $1.87

Indiana @ Dallas

March 27th 11:30am

The Indiana Pacers square off against the Dallas Mavericks for the second time this season on Friday night from the American Airlines Center on Friday night in Dallas.

Dallas won the first game of the season between the two teams back in January by 12.

The Mavericks are one of the hotter teams in the NBA right now, going 7-3 and winning their last two in a row, while the Pacers are 5-5 in their last ten games and sit just a half-game behind the Celtics for the last spot in the Eastern Conference playoff standings.

As we approach the end of the season, both teams know they need to keep the quality of play high to work their way into the playoffs.

The combination of a healthy Luka Doncic and Porzingis isn’t a good matchup for the Pacers on either side of the ball, especially with how they’ve struggled to defend big men this year.

Dallas is riding a wave of momentum, while the Pacers have been average at best the last couple games, and going on the road won’t do much to help that.

Suggested Bet: Dallas Mavericks to cover the -4.5 line at $1.91

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: D. Sabonis Points + Rebounds + Assists over 35

Leg 2. L Doncic Points + Rebounds + Assists over 45
Leg 3: Mavericks -4.5

Memphis @ utah

March 24th 10:30am

The Memphis Grizzlies will head to Vivint Smart Home Arena on Friday evening for a Western Conference showdown against the Utah Jazz.

The Grizzlies enter the weekend in ninth place in the West with a 21-20 overall record, 10 games back of the NBA-best Jazz. Utah leads the league with a 32-11 overall record, giving them a three-game lead in the West.

Memphis opened its four-game road trip with a 116-107 victory on the road against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night.

Dillon Brooks finished with a team-high 25 points while Jonas Valunciunas chipped in 16 points and 15 boards for the Grizzlies, who extended their winning to three games.

Grayson Allen had a strong game, scoring 20 points on 4-of-9 shooting from 3-point range.

Meanwhile, Utah pushed its current winning streak to three games with a 118-88 victory over the short-handed Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night.

Donovan Mitchell finished with a team-high 27 points while Mike Conley and Bogdan Bogdanovic chipped 18 points apiece on the night.

The Jazz shot 23-for-55 from 3-point range and limited Brooklyn to just 36.1 percent shooting from the field in the win.

The point spread does look very generous in this one.

Suggested Bet: Memphis Grizzlies to cover the +10.5 point spread at $1.93

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Grizzlies +13.5
Leg 2: Jazz Win
Leg 3: Total Points under 231.5
Combined Odds: $3.6

Boston @ Milwaukee

march 24th 11:00am

Milwaukee will try to keep its four-game home win streak intact when the Bucks play Boston.

The Bucks have gone 18-7 against Eastern Conference teams. Milwaukee ranks second in the NBA with 15.4 fast break points per game led by Giannis Antetokounmpo averaging 5.

The Celtics are 15-13 against Eastern Conference opponents. Boston ranks ninth in the Eastern Conference with 43.8 rebounds per game led by Tristan Thompson averaging 8.4.

The teams square off for the second game in a row after a the Bucks held on for dear life in a 121-119 win on Thursday.

The point spread was set at -6.5 just prior to tip off but has now been trimmed to -5.5 for this game.

Having now had another sighter against the Celtics, the Bucks should be able to get over the line in a much more comfortable fashion.

Suggested Bet: Milwaukee Bucks to cover the -5.5 point spread at $1.88
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Milwaukee Bucks to cover the -5.5 spread
Leg 2: Giannis to score over 26.5 points
Leg 3: Giannis to have over 10.5 rebounds
Leg 4: Giannis to have over 4.5 assists
Combinded odds = $4.10
