ACT Brumbies vs. western force
march 26th 7:45pm
Brumbies suffered their first loss in defence of their Super Rugby AU title as they were edged in a thrilling contest against Queensland Reds but they will be refocused for this contest with Western Force on the back of their bye week.
They will be eager to put that loss behind them as quickly as possible but the Force will have other ideas.
They have put in two decent showings on the back of their maiden win in this competition but fell short against the Reds last week and this is another tough task for them.
With the Brumbies likely to come out firing, the Force could find it tough going and they could succumb to a big loss.
Suggested Bet: ACT Brumbies to cover the -13.5 line at $1.87
chiefs vs. blues
march 27th 5:05pm
The Battle of the North takes place on Saturday when the Chiefs meet the Blues for the 36th time in Super Rugby history.
These two sides have battled it out 35 times since their first ever match in 1996.
In that game the Blues came out on top 39-31.
However, since then, the Chiefs have gone onto win 21 games, the Blues 13 and they’ve had one draw.
While the overall history is heavily in favour of the Chiefs, it’s the Blues who have won three of their last four games against each other.
Last week proved to be a frustrating one for Dalton Papalii. Unable to feature in the much-anticipated clash with the Crusaders due to ongoing concussion issues.
But he’s been cleared to play and is rearing to go this weekend, where he will match up with All Blacks skipper Sam Cane.
The Blues have a golden chance to notch up their 14th head to head win against the Chiefs in this north island rivalry.
Suggested Bet: Blues head to head at $1.45
NSW Waratahs vs. Queensland Reds
march 27th 7:45pm
Betting suggests that this match is going to be an absolute bloodbath, and it’s not hard to see why.
The Waratahs have been, and remain, just awful.
They have been hugely affected by an exodus of plenty of their former stars, they lack depth and experience, and it has been telling in their inability to go close to beating any other side.
They line up opposite the rampant Reds on Saturday, who remain undefeated, and who are lengths ahead of them in terms of their ability, depth and experience.
There might be something for the Waratahs fans to cheer about if this young crop of players stays together for a few seasons, but things look bleak in the here and now.
The Reds should cover the line easily.
Suggested Bet: Queensland Reds to cover the -15.5 line at $1.92
