NBA Tips and Previews, Tuesday 23rd March

Tips, Previews and all you need ahead of Tuesday's NBA action

A huge set of fixtures from the USA as our team go through the main games to grace us through Tuesday morning and afternoon.

Cleveland vs. Sacramento from 10:30am (AEDT) begins the list of suggested best bets across another big day of NBA.

Sacramento @ Cleveland

march 23rd 10:30am

The Sacramento Kings ends their six game road trip tonight when they travels to the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse to face the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Minimal rest for the Cavaliers after a 116-105 victory over the Toronto Raptors may prove a pivotal factor for the Kings to even the ledger of its time away from home.

The Kings hit a speed hump against the playoffs bound Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday after a 129-105 loss, but with an extra day to recoup its energy, it has the ultimate chance to mitigate the toll of travel to make it 3-3 in the past six fixtures.

Buddy Hield fought valiantly with 25 points, five rebounds and three assists in the 24-point loss to the 76ers, while for the Cavaliers, Collin Sexton continued his career best season with an impressive 36-point display against the Raptors.

Despite the heavy defeat against the 76ers, enough was shown by the Kings to warrant siding with them against the lesser Cavaliers in this one.

Suggested Bet: Sacramento Kings to cover the -3.5 line at $1.91

Suggested Same Game Multi:

Leg 1: Sacramento Kings to cover the -3.5 point spread
Leg 2: DeAaron Fox to score over 24.5 points
Leg 3: Total points scored under 224.5
Combined odds = $5.75

Charlotte @ San Antonio

March 23rd 11:30am

Charlotte is aiming to halt a poor start to its road trip when it clashes with the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday morning from the AT&T Centre.

While the Hornets will take no shame from losing to genuine finals contenders the LA Lakers (116-105) and LA Clippers (125-98) in its two most recent games, the Spurs too represent a tough test.

The Spurs went on a three game winning run prior to its 120-113 against the might and power of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Lonnie Walker did his best to thwart the scoring power of Giannis Antetokounmpo with a 31-point display and veteran Demar DeRozan toiled away 22 points and 13 assists.

Having already met each other once this season, the Spurs produced a big final quarter charge in that game just over a month ago to runaway with a 122-110 victory.

A return home should provide the Spurs with another win over the Hornets.

Suggested Bet: San Antonio Spurs to cover -5.5 point spread at $1.91

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Spurs -4.5
Leg 2: PJ. Washington under 14.5 points
Leg 3: D. DeRozan over 18.5 Points
Combined Odds: $4

Utah @ Chicago

march 23rd 12:00pm

The 30-11 Utah Jazz run out onto the United Centre pine in an attempt to fortify its spot atop of the Western Conference when it duels with the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday.

Both teams are coming off victories in their most recent outings in what is the first of a two match series between the two this season.

It was Donovan Mitchell who again provided the offensive spark for the Jazz with his game-high 31-point showing helping his side to a narrow 115-112 win of the Toronto Raptors on Saturday.

Meanwhile, a solid defensive display from the Bulls was the catalyst for a 14-point victory over the Detroit Pistons.

The Bulls defence restricted to 16% conversion from three point range while smashed them on the boards with 57 rebounds to 45.

Jazz centre Ruby Gobert is in some doubt to play this game and if he misses the Bulls are a sniff to cause an upset.

Suggested Bet: Chicago Bulls to cover the +8.5 point spread at $1.94

Boston @ Memphis

march 23rd 12:00pm

The Memphis Grizzlies host the Boston Celtics from the FedEx Forum on Tuesday with both sides looking jump into a winning record this season.

After a 111-103 victory against the Golden State Warriors, Memphis finds itself situated in tenth place of the Western Conference with a 19-20 record.

The Celtics, meanwhile, polished off a three-game losing streak with a 112-96 win over the Orlando Magic.

Jayson Tatum (23 points, four assists and four rebounds) and Jaylen Brown (34 points, four rebounds and three assists) tag-teamed in the 16-point win.

The last time the Celtics met the Grizzlies, Tatum put his shooting game aside as Brown went bonkers on the floor.

Brown would register 42 points, five rebounds and five assists in the 126-107 result over Memphis on New Year’s Eve in 2020.

Market is suggesting a very tight game, but the Celtics should take confidence from the early season 19-point rout of the Grizzlies and make it a clean sweep in the two-game season series.

Suggested Bet: Boston Celtics head to head at $1.88

Indiana @ Milwaukee

march 23rd 12:00pm

A seven-game unbeaten run is on offer for the Milwaukee Bucks if it can overcome the Indiana Pacers at home from the Fiserv Forum.

The Bucks have put together their most impressive patch of form this season with a 120-113 victory against the San Antonio Spurs followed up a desperate 109-105 overtime win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

It was the ‘Greek Freak’ Giannis Antetokounmpo who proved the difference yet again this season in the seven-point result over the Spurs.

Not only did he hit 26 points but it was the full display of his passing game which allowed to tally up a season-high 15 assists.

He is almost unstoppable at the moment.

His last ten games have brandied 31 points per game, 11 rebounds and 7.9 assists as he continues to push his case for a second career MVP trophy.

Two words for the Pacers in this one: good luck.

Suggested Bet: Milwaukee Bucks to cover the -5.5 point spread at $1.90
