English Premier League Match Week 29 Tips and Previews, Tuesday 3rd March

The Premier League has a massive midweek offering as the powerhouse clubs come out to play

Premier League fixtures adorn us throughout the week and it all starts with league leaders Manchester City and Wolverhampton going head to head on Wednesday morning.

Manchester United are also in action on Thursday morning as it looks to chase down its cross-town rivals.

Let’s hit the back of the net with a couple of serious same game multis!

Manchester City v Wolverhampton

march 3rd 7:00am

Tearaway league leaders Manchester City will look to extend its lead in the Premier League title race when it faces Wolverhampton on Wednesday morning.

A 27 game unbeaten run in all competitions – currently underpinned by a 20-game winning streak – has catapulted City into a 12-point lead at the summit of the league table.

After a stuttering start to the league, Pep Guardiola’s men have been simply brilliant in all areas of the pitch.

Led by midfield maestro Kevin De Bruyne, a front third that boasts the likes of Raheem Sterling, Riyadh Mahrez, and a defensive wall in the form of Johnny Stones and Rueben Diaz, the task for Wolverhampton looks impossible.

City was made to work for its latest win against West Ham after a Michail Antonio 43rd minute answer to Ruben Dias’ 30th minute strike was met with a John Stones 68th minute match-winner.

Despite what looks like a fait accompli resulting in a City win here, Wolves coach Nuno Espirito Santo has spurred his team into an undefeated run in the Premier League of late.

Having to mitigate the loss of gun forward Raul Jiminez, Santo and his men have gone undefeated in their last five league fixtures to sit themselves well and truly in the Premier League safe zone.

Interestingly, the Wolves have actually caused City a few headaches in recent times.

Prior to a 3-1 loss earlier this season, Wolverhampton managed to do the double in the league over City last season with 3-2 and 2-0 victories.

However, without the threat of Jiminez to get at a City defence, who has only conceded 16 goals in the league, it’s tough to see this being anything but a City win to nil.

Phil Foden found the back of the net last time he played Wolverhampton and has been a pivotal cog in the City attack throughout the season. Expect him to find the scoresheet again.

There is good value to be had on a same game multi in this match by adding in total goals and an anytime goalscorer with the insurance of the same game multi money back offer.

Prediction: Manchester City 2 Wolverhampton 0

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Manchester City head to head
Leg 2: Total goals scored under 3.5
Leg 3: Phll Foden to score anytime (90 minutes)
Combined odds = $5

Manchester United v Crystal Palace

March 4th 7:30am

Manchester United travel to Selhurst Park in a bid to stay within sight of Manchester City when it comes up against Crystal Palace on Thursday morning.

A 21-game unbeaten run away from Old Trafford is on offer if it can overcome 13th-placed Crystal Palace.

United played out a scoreless draw against Chelsea on Monday morning as Bruno Ferandes’ struggles against top six teams continued.

The Portuguese midfielder has played a near lone hand in United’s fortunes this year with 15 goals and 10 assists but has only managed one goal when playing against top six clubs this season.

His squad meet a Crystal Palace side who, despite being undefeated in two matches, looks like an easy kill for the Red Devils.

Roy Hodgson’s men held out for a scoreless draw against Fulham after being dominated in large patches by their opponent and now face a United side determined to keep its title bid alive.

It might not all be smooth sailing for United though.

Crystal Palace battered United 3-1 earlier this season to turn ‘The Theatre of Dreams’ at Old Trafford into a nightmare.

Wilfred Zaha had the United back four on the backfoot on that occasion and netted a second-half double to record a famous upset victory over United which was only the second time Palace had done so in its club’s history.

Both teams should find the scoresheet again in this game.

If Edinson Cavani returns to the line-up, absent after suffering a minor injury, we expect him to score and looks good value to put into a same game multi.

With the same game multi money back offer for Manchester United on Thursday we can throw them into a three-leg play.

Prediction Crystal Palace 1 Manchester United 2

Suggested Same Game Multi :
Leg 1: Manchester United head to head
Leg 2: Both teams to score
Leg 3: Edinson Cavani to score anytime (90 minutes)
Combined odds = $4.33

liverpool v chelsea

march 5th 7:15am

European heavyweights Liverpool and Chelsea meet at Anfield on Friday morning with both teams trying to salvage a spot in the top four.

The Reds snapped a four-game losing streak accounting for the all but relegated Sheffield United 2-0 on Monday morning as it tries to salvage European football through the league this season.

Without its world class centre back Virgil Van Dijk and host of key injuries that have plagued its season, Liverpool has battled its way into sixth spot after 26 games and sits two points away from fourth-placed West Ham United.

Chelsea’s year has been none the better.

After a spending spree in the winter and summer transfer windows, Frank Lampard’s replacement Thomas Tuchel has guided the Blues to a seven-game unbeaten run in the league but still find themselves one spot outside the top four.

A lacklustre display from Chelsea at Stamford Bridge resulted in a scoreless draw against Manchester United in its most recent league fixture.

Only one of its last nine matches in all competitions have gone over 2.5 goals and the last time it went head to head with Liverpool it was a Sadio Mane double that inflicted a 2-0 defeat.

This game had all the makings of a title-defining fixture prior to the 2020/21 season beginning but it is now about battling for a spot in the Champions League next season.

Both sides are still in this season’s Champions League competition, but, given the shaky form they have shown, it’s unlikely either will qualify for a spot in European football by lifting the Champions League trophy.

It makes this match almost season-defining for both teams but we have zero confidence in finding an edge either way in this match.

Value here looks to be with the draw and Sadio Mane to score against Chelsea again.

Prediction: Liverpool 1 Chelsea 1

Suggested Bet: Draw at $3.5

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Head to head draw
Leg 2: Sadio Mane to score anytime (90 minutes)
Combined odds = $8
