The Milwaukee Bucks had been riding a five-game winning streak but will enter Sunday’s clash against the Oklahoma City Thunder having lost two straight.

The most recent loss came at the hands of the inform team of the NBA the Utah Jazz, who sit perched at the top of the Western Conference.

Thankfully, on paper at least, the Bucks seem to have a much more manageable affair when it travels to Oklahoma, who is on a three-game losing streak itself.

The Thunder have been more than competitive in its last two games with pulsating yet heartbreaking overtime losses to reigning NBA champion the Los Angeles Lakers.

But it does not get any easier for the Thunder who are only 3-8 this season when playing at home.

Milwaukee is only 7-8 on the road compared to 9-2 at home so it’s unlikely to be a walk in the park for a Bucks team on the verge of something great.

The Bucks will be missing one of their key players on Monday with Jrue Holiday set to miss the game due to health and safety protocols. It’s a blow to the Bucks as he has been averaging 16.4 points per game with 5.4 assists and 4.8 rebounds.

However, with Giannis Antetokounmpo at the helm averaging 28.2 points, 11.2 rebounds and 5.6 assists this Bucks team should still be good enough to overcome a plucky Thunder outfit who will not go down without a fight.

The 11.5 line looks very generous here and the Thunder are more than capable of covering it given its recent form.

Suggested Bet: Oklahoma City Thunder to cover the point spread +11.5 at $1.90

boston @ washington

Bradley Beal looks all but certain to return to the Washington Wizards line-up as they prepare to face the Boston Celtics at the Capital One Arena on Monday morning.

The Wizards lost to the New York Knicks 109-91 at home after Beal missed his first game of the season with Wizards’ management opting to give the league’s highest scoring player a rest.

It marked the second straight loss and fourth defeat in five games for the Wizards.

Russell Westbrook led the losing effort against the Knicks with 23 points, nine rebounds, and 10 assists.

While for Boston, it lost for the third time in four games with a 108-102 shock defeat to the Detroit Pistons.

Jayson Tatum led the way with 33 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists in the victory, followed by Jaylen Brown with 27 points. The Celtics were without Kemba Brown’s services, their third-leading scorer on the season, who was given a rest after multiple games.

Heading into this game, the Celtics will sense an opportunity on offence to really hurt Washington.

Defensively, the Wizards allow 120.3 points per game which is the worst in the NBA this season.

It has been a major problem for coach Scott Brooks and a big reason why his team has slumped to a 6-17 this season to sit last in the Eastern Conference.

Boston coach Brad Stevens is sure to have given a rocket up his squad following the shock loss to the Pistons.  Given they have playoff aspirations and the talent of Tatum to match it with Beal, it should be enough for the Celtics to bounce back into winning ways.

Suggested Bet: Boston head to head at $1.33

Suggested Same Game Multi:

Leg 1: Boston Celtics head to head
Leg 2: Jason Tatum over 29.5 points
Leg 3: Total points scored under 229.5

la lakers @ denver

february 15th 2:00PM

The Los Angeles Lakers travel to The Rocky Mountains ahead of its clash against the Denver Nuggets at the Ball Arena on Valentine’s Day.

The Lakers welcomed centre Anthony Davis back with a bang against the Grizzlies on Saturday with the big man scoring 35 points, hauling in nine rebounds and blocking one shot while helping put the clamps on Memphis in the second half.

Davis will need to replicate a performance like that for this key conference clash against fellow MVP candidate Nikola Jokic, who has carried the Nuggets the past month.

Jokic was locked up for only 16 points versus the Lakers on February 4 and will be looking to hit the scoreboard much harder tonight but it will not come easy.

Jokic will also have to negate Lakers forward Montrezl Harrell, who is expected to play after clearing concussion tests.

The scoring load pressure may mount on Michael Porter Jr., who has been inconsistent over the last month. Porter Jr. has totalled 34 points the past two games but just 24 combined in his three games prior to that scoring stint.

It means LeBron James will have his sights on the Nuggets young small forward who scored only eight points against the Lakers last time around.

James was at his usual best the first time these two teams butted heads this season. The reigning finals MVP notched up a triple double with 27 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds.

The Nuggets will likely stick around in the first-half of this game but it’s the second halves that will be the worry.

Los Angeles stakes its claim as the NBA’s premier defense by slamming the door in the closing two quarters, giving up a league-low 50.3 second-half points per game while the Nuggets only managed 54.6 points per game in the first fortnight of February fixtures.

A 22-6 record for the Lakers is what should follow after this match.

Suggested Bet: Los Angeles Lakers to cover point spread -3.5 at $1.90

Suggested Same Game Multi:

Leg 1: Los Angeles Lakers to cover the point spread -3.5
Leg 2: LeBron James over 27.5 points
Leg 3: Anthony Davis over 29.5 points
