An electric showdown could be on the cards, as Eastern Conference leaders Philadelphia face off against Phoenix for the first time in this season.
The Philadelphia 76ers have dominated the Eastern Conference, making an 18-8 start to the season.
Meanwhile, the 15-4 Phoenix Suns have emerged as a new powerhouse in the Western Conference, powered by veteran and star guard Chris Paul.
With both teams at the top of their games, this clash could potentially be a high-scoring battle between two top contenders.
The Philadelphia 76ers have been one of the best defensive units this season.
They will enter this fixture with the fourth-best defensive rating in the league.
However, the Philadelphia 76ers could not make use of their defensive prowess in their previous outing against the Trail Blazers, where veteran Carmelo Anthony buried them single-handedly to inflict a gut-wrenching defeat.
Joel Embiid led the effort for the 76ers with a game-high 35-point performance, only for the Philadelphia 76ers to slump to their eighth loss of the season.
The Phoenix Suns are flying high this season. They are surging in the Western Conference, thanks to a four-game winning streak that has earned them the fourth-best record with a .625 winning percentage.
The Phoenix Suns have gone 7-3 in their last ten outings, and will be raring to go against the Philadelphia 76ers at home on Saturday.
Suggested Bet: Phoenix Suns head to head at $1.80
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Phoenix Suns head to head
Leg 2: Joel Embiid over 30.5
Leg 3: Total score under 221.5
BROOKLYN @ GOLDEN STATE
february 14th 12:30pm
A much-anticipated meeting between the Brooklyn Nets and Golden State Warriors will steal the show on Sunday morning as Kevin Durant heads back to his old hunting ground.
The Warriors aren’t looking as poor as they looked in the previous meeting between the two teams, when the Nets played them off the court with a 125-99 drubbing at the Barclays Center.
Golden State is coming off back-to-back victories over San Antonio and Orlando, while the Nets recently put an end to a three-game losing streak by upending the Indiana Pacers.
The Nets will need all of the firepower they can get with the Warriors returning to the scoring machine on offence they showed when they were in the finals not so long ago.
However, the Warriors still haven’t been nearly as terrifying as this Brooklyn team who averages an incredible 120.4 points per game this season.
If slowing down Durant and Irving wasn’t already hard enough, they’ll face the near impossible task of now having to stop Harden along with them as well.
Add in the fact that the Nets are the highest-scoring road offensive team in the league with the team averaging 122.3 points per game and it’s hard to make a case against them at the moment.
Steph Curry is clearly playing at an MVP level right now, and he should have no issues being able to notch up yet another high score to give his Warriors a chance of winning but he will need the likes of Kelly Oubre and Andrew Wiggins to really step up.
Expecting this to be a win for the Brooklyn Nets as they continue to push towards the playoffs.
Suggested Bet: Brooklyn Nets to cover point spread -3.5 at $1.89
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Brooklyn Nets cover point spread -3.5
Leg 2: Total points scored over 246.5
Leg 3: Kyrie Irving total points over 25.5
MIAMI @ UTAH
february 14th 1:00PM
The Heat will head on the road to Vivint Smart Home Arena on Saturday night for a tough matchup against the Western Conference-leading Jazz who continue to set the standard in the NBA.
Utah has won 16 of its last 17 contests to catapult into first place in the Western Conference standings with a 20-5 overall record.
Meanwhile, Miami finds itself on the outside looking in at the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference. The Heat are 11-14 and a half-game back of eighth place in the East Conference standings but do have Jimmy Butler finally hitting some point-scoring form.
Miami celebrated a 101-94 victory on the road against the Houston Rockets on Friday with Butler scoring a team-high 27 points while Max Strus came off of the bench with 21 points to assist his team to its 11th win of the season.
The Jazz knocked off the Boston Celtics 122-108 in their most recent fixture thanks to a huge 36-point and nine-assist game from Donovan Mitchell.
Australian Joe Ingles finished with 24 points to continue his fine run of form this year and Rudy Gobert added 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Jazz, who won their fifth straight game as they streak away atop of its conference.
The Heat will need to be on-point defensively and a replica of the third quarter against the Rockets where it held them to only 10 points will be needed on a more consistent basis here especially with the Jazz’s Mitchell lighting it up.
Mitchell is averaging 24.0 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game this season and has skyrocketed into MVP contention.
If he continues his form here, the Jazz will post another victory.
Suggested Bet: Utah Jazz to cover point spread -7.0 at $1.91
